I can still remember 2 years ago sa acadsoc pa ako and may parents na nag wawatch while me having a class sa anak nila.
Some of them I already know but felt encouraged that it's normal to do that haha! Like a confirmation but others are new to me I realized my wrongs. Glad to take corrections for improvement! Thanks teacha Karen
Had my very first student last night! Sudden booking siya so taranta and shookt si Ate mo girl! Your videos help me a lot.
Wow! Nakakastress yang mga sudden bookings! Minsan 1 minute before may papasok kaya dapat ready. Yang confidence naman e nabibuild yan over time :) the more classes you have the more confidence you build
Hi teacher Karen I admire you po for teaching effectively 🥰 next week we're going to have our first demo teaching still nervous about it hehe. I'm participating po in a advance CCA & ESL Training
My experience of having a student's parents is funny, haha Asian parents talaga like papagalitan muna ang kanilang anak para lang makinig sa aking klase minsan nga umiiyak habang nag class ako dahil galing pinapalo hahahah. But thankful because the parents of my students are kind. Not all of them are scary.
I can relate teach, yung iiyak yung bata tapos pag balik sayo baitbaitan ka and ipapacify mo "tahan na, wawa naman, play tayo!" hahah May one time, nioobserve ako ng parents and I had an INVALID complaint kasi poor connection daw, e sila may problem.
I thought that you had to let the student repeat each new word/ concept 3 times after you. I also thought you could have asked them to tell you when last they were hungry/cold/hot? Or maybe you would do that in the following lesson
I've tried this a lot of times, i teach korean students and strict yung parents nila super nakakakaba parang sasqbug puso ko 🤣🤣 pero i try to smile the whole lesson but buti na lang wala akong na rinig na complains sa parents so far pati si parent nag aask na din ng lesson during the lesson. 🤣🤣
Thank you teach 😊 I passed my demo already and currently complying my requirements.
@@TeachaKarenHello po Teacher Karen, may I know po kung pano mapapag aralan in advance yong current lesson ng students, since yong gap po between the class is 5 mins. po. :( thank you po!
@@crisst.3917 When you are still on probation, try to come to work an hour early to study :) Eventually, you'll get used to the materials and you wouldn't need to do that anymore
Hi Teacha Karen!! I would like to ask if you study or review the lesson material you use before the class starts or just like having it 15 mins or less minutes before the class? Thank you Cher, I will be having my training next week and I'm kinda overwhelmed with your videos. Haha. Godbless
On my first month, I'd start to work an hour earlier so I could study the lesson materials. We only have a 5 minute gap between classes and it's not recommended to study the material in that time frame for NEW teachers, but for tenured ones, that's what we do. 🥰
Hello teacha, I'm using the built in camera of a Macbook 2017. This is a 4 years old laptop and works perfectly. Indeed a GREAT INVESTMENT :) soooo love it
Time management. You must make sure you check your material before your class begins so you can plan ahead and finish the slides. If you can't finish because of the student's fault, e.g. they're late or having a tantrum, it's ok.
Fake it til you make it :) kunyari alam mo kahit hindi.
They will be the ones booking your classes, they are the ones filing complaints and they are the ones giving star-ratings...pretty much, everyone in the ESL world cares LOL
Whats that all about? are you teaching the kid or the mommy? hahaha how the hell on earth that the kid can learn english in a situation like that? hehehee....sorry just wondering.
hahaha the kid could learn through fear LOL, it's quite challenging to teach when parents are observing, puts too much pressure on the student (and the teacher)
