oh my lord! Thank you! Will be trying tomorrow. Our baby is "stuck" on that first exercise (albeit we use our hands under his armpits) since he was 6 months! He's now 12 mo and he literally runs like that and even takes little jumps. Can't wait for that first step on his own. Need to get our back and legs back ;_;

Learning how to walk is a challenging but rewarding process that requires patience, practice and perseverance. Walking is a complex skill that involves coordination of muscles, joints, balance and vision. To learn how to walk, you need to follow some basic steps: - Start by sitting on a chair or a couch with your feet flat on the floor. Try to lift one foot off the ground and then put it back down. Repeat with the other foot. This will help you strengthen your leg muscles and get used to shifting your weight. - Next, stand up with the support of a walker, a cane or someone's hand. Make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart and your knees are slightly bent. Try to balance yourself without leaning too much on the support. This will help you improve your posture and stability. - Then, take small steps forward with the support of your walker, cane or helper. Move one foot forward and then bring the other foot next to it. Keep your back straight and look ahead. This will help you develop your rhythm and confidence. - Gradually increase the distance and speed of your steps as you feel more comfortable and secure. Try to walk in different directions and on different surfaces. This will help you adapt to various situations and challenges. - Finally, practice walking every day for at least 10 minutes or as long as you can tolerate. This will help you maintain your progress and prevent regression. Learning how to walk is not easy but it is possible with consistent effort and guidance. Remember to celebrate every milestone and enjoy the journey!

Thank you for the video, I will give these a try, my son is 17 months old, hasn’t started walking, I’m literally trying so much. He walks with his push walker but only on his toes, he also doesn’t stand independently, longest time was 12 seconds. Also he won’t let me hold his hands to walk he collapses his knees and goes to crawling position, and this has been going on for ages. He is due to start physio if he doesn’t start by 18 months.

"It's fantastic that your son is cruising at 11 months! Every baby has their own pace. To encourage independent walking, try placing enticing toys just out of reach. Hold his hands while he takes steps or use furniture as support. Minimize the walker use and focus on activities that promote balance and strength. Celebrate his progress, and with time and encouragement, he'll likely gain the confidence to take those first solo steps! 🚶‍♂️🌟 #BabyDevelopment #ParentingTips"

Any tips for building confidence to fall? My little one will walk while I support her ribcage and over the past 2 weeks of doing it she feels sooooo much stronger, but she has only let go to be independently standing at the couch once (5 seconds) and if I try to let go she grabs my hand in close. I troed to mock falling and laughing to show it is okay but she is a cautious observer.
@BabyExercises
@BabyExercises 7 дней назад
Building confidence in falling is an important step in helping your little one gain independence in walking. Here are some tips to encourage her: Create a Safe Environment: Ensure the area where your baby is practicing walking is safe and free from obstacles. This will give her the confidence to explore and try walking independently. Gradual Progression: Continue to support her as she walks, but gradually reduce the support over time. For example, gently hold her hands with less pressure or encourage her to take small steps towards you. Encourage Playful Practice: Mock falling and laughing, as you've been doing, is a great approach. This shows her that falling is okay and can even be fun. Use positive reinforcement such as clapping or cheering when she stands independently, even for a short time. Use Furniture or Toys: Place her favorite toys or objects just out of reach so she's motivated to let go and take steps independently towards them. You can also use sturdy furniture for her to hold onto and practice standing. Be Patient and Supportive: It's natural for babies to be cautious, and each child progresses at their own pace. Offer lots of encouragement and reassurance. Let her know you're there to support her if she falls. Celebrate Small Achievements: Even brief moments of independent standing or steps are milestones worth celebrating. This positive reinforcement will boost her confidence and motivation to keep trying. Model Walking: Show her how to walk by walking alongside her or demonstrating with a toy. Babies often learn through imitation, so seeing you walk can encourage her to try it herself. Give Her Time: Building confidence in walking independently takes time and practice. Allow her to explore and develop her skills at her own pace, without rushing or pushing her beyond her comfort level. By creating a supportive and encouraging environment, and by celebrating her progress, you'll help build her confidence in walking independently over time. Enjoy these moments of discovery and growth with your little one! 🚶‍♀️💕

Hi, my baby is 17 month old and he can stand and roam around with support and tries to stand on his own for few seconds but on 22 February he is going to complete 18 months, so iam a little worried about this as he is not walking on his own. He was also delayed in roll over like after 7 months he started roll over perfectly.

@@Zhaniya-lx1mmNot totally but yes he started taking few steps without support. I guess the delay in his walking is due to less activity in the past month.

Nice to hear he is on the right track :-) It's understandable to feel concerned, but every child develops at their own pace. Here are some tips to encourage your baby's walking: 1. Encourage Independent Steps: Continue to support your baby's attempts to stand and take steps on his own. Offer your hands for support and praise his efforts, even if it's just for a few seconds. 2. Create a Safe Environment: Ensure that your home is safe and free of obstacles so that your baby can practice walking without worrying about tripping or falling. 3. Provide Opportunities for Practice: Encourage your baby to take steps by placing toys or objects just out of reach. This can motivate him to move forward and improve his balance and coordination. 4. Be Patient and Supportive: Remember that every child learns to walk at their own pace. Offer plenty of encouragement and support as your baby builds confidence in walking independently. It's also worth noting that some babies may experience delays in certain milestones, such as rolling over or walking, but still go on to develop normally. Keep providing a loving and supportive environment for your baby, and celebrate his progress along the way. 🚶‍♂️💕 #BabyDevelopment #ParentingTips

My 1 year old daughter has mastered steps 1-6 but she has a hard time letting go of my hand and walking independently. She is still walking but only if she’s holding onto one of my hands. How do i get her to let go and walk independently?? I’m concerned for her. Thanks

If you are concerned she will hurt herself you can actually apply a bike helmet to her head, it has actually helped/motivated a lot of parents to let their babies try walking on their own without them being near to catch them if they fall.

I don't know what else to try. My son will not only walk with his walker, but he will fully run with it, and i mean fast. But he will not stand on his own without holding onto furniture etc and if you try to get him to walk without his walker He just drops to his bum without trying

It sounds like your son is making great progress with walking while using his walker! However, it's understandable to want him to develop the ability to stand and walk independently. Here are some tips to help him transition: 1. Gradual Transition: Encourage your son to stand and take steps without relying solely on his walker. Start by gradually reducing his dependence on it, offering more opportunities for him to practice standing and walking with support from furniture or your hands. 2. Provide Support: Offer your hands or stable furniture for support as he practices standing and taking steps. This can help build his confidence and stability. 3. Practice Balancing: Engage your son in activities that promote balance and coordination, such as standing games or walking short distances holding your hands. 4. Offer Encouragement: Praise and encourage your son's efforts, even if he's only able to take a few steps without support. Positive reinforcement can help motivate him to keep trying. 5. Be Patient: Remember that every child develops at their own pace. Be patient and supportive as your son works towards walking independently. Keep offering love, support, and encouragement to your son as he navigates this exciting milestone! 🚶‍♂️💕 #ToddlerDevelopment #ParentingTips

But when it comes to walking on his own or without something to support him he just sits and crawl to something to help him up. I noticed sometimes he stands on his own close to an object without both of his hands holding on so idk help please?

Hey @TylerAllen99 It sounds like your son is making great progress with walking, but he may still be building the confidence and balance needed to walk independently. Here are some tips to encourage him to take those first independent steps: Encourage Standing: Continue to encourage him to stand without support by placing interesting toys or objects just out of reach. This can motivate him to stand on his own and build his confidence. Use Short Distances: Place toys or objects he likes a short distance away to encourage him to take a few steps towards them. Gradually increase the distance as he becomes more confident. Practice Standing Games: Engage in games that involve standing, such as having him hold a toy with both hands while standing, or gently lifting him up and letting him stand before sitting back down. Gradual Independence: Gradually reduce the support you provide. For example, hold only one of his hands instead of both, or use your fingertips instead of a full grip. Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate and praise his efforts and successes, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement can boost his confidence and encourage him to try more. Safe Environment: Ensure he has a safe and spacious environment to practice walking. Remove obstacles and provide a non-slip surface to prevent falls. Balance Practice: Help him practice his balance by having him stand and reach for toys, or gently swaying while holding onto your hands or a stable surface. Be Patient: Every child develops at their own pace. It's important to be patient and supportive as he builds the skills and confidence needed to walk independently. If you have ongoing concerns or notice any issues with his development, it's always a good idea to consult with your pediatrician for personalized advice and reassurance. Keep encouraging and supporting him, and he will likely gain the confidence to walk on his own soon. 🚼💕 #BabyDevelopment #ParentingTips

"It's completely normal for babies to progress at their own pace. If your baby is walking while holding onto furniture, that's a positive step! Independence will come with time. Encourage her with activities that promote balance and coordination, and celebrate each small achievement. Every child is unique, and it's okay to have different experiences with each. Your baby is on her own special journey, and you're doing a great job supporting her! 🚶‍♀️💖 #BabyDevelopment #ParentingWorries"

If your baby boy is feeling scared or hesitant to walk, it's essential to provide him with reassurance, encouragement, and a supportive environment. Here are some tips to help him feel more confident: 1. Create a Safe Environment: Make sure the area where he walks is free from obstacles and hazards to reduce the risk of falls. 2.Hold His Hand: Offer your hands for support as he practices walking. This physical connection can provide him with a sense of security and stability. 3. Use Toys or Objects: Encourage him to walk towards toys or objects he enjoys. This can motivate him to take steps forward and distract him from any fear he may be feeling. 4. Praise and Encouragement: Offer plenty of praise and encouragement for his efforts, even if it's just a few steps. Positive reinforcement can help boost his confidence. 5. Be Patient: Remember that every child develops at their own pace. Give him time and space to explore and practice walking at his own speed. 6. Offer Supportive Verbal Reassurance: Use a soothing and encouraging tone of voice to reassure him that he's doing great and that you're there to support him every step of the way. 7. Consult with a Pediatrician: If your baby's fear of walking persists or if you have concerns about his development, consider speaking with your pediatrician for personalized advice and guidance. By providing a loving and supportive environment, along with patience and encouragement, you can help your baby boy feel more confident as he learns to walk. 🚶‍♂️💕 #ParentingTips #BabyDevelopment

@BabyExercises 9 месяцев назад
Thank you for sharing your concerns. It sounds like your baby is quite adventurous and active, and it's great that his vitamin D and calcium levels are good. Every child develops at their own pace, and while some may start walking independently earlier, others take a little more time to gain the confidence they need. Your baby is already exploring and building strength through cruising, climbing, and sliding, which are important developmental activities. Encourage him to continue practicing these skills and provide a safe and supportive environment for him to take those first independent steps when he's ready. If you're still worried, it's always a good idea to consult with your pediatrician for further guidance and reassurance. Remember that every child's journey is unique, and your baby will achieve this milestone in his own time. Keep supporting and cheering him on! 😊👶💕
