Yep, 87 and 88 didn't have the dash emblem as far as I can remember.

The 25th anniversary pony on the dash started in April of 1989 , it had a running pony with the writing “ 25th anniversary “ it lasted for approx 7 months , then every mustang until the end of production had the running pony with out the script.

The Map light was replaced in 1992, but 1991 models built after the first week of August had there map lights removed and replaced with the same dual functioning headlight/map light as the 1992 model. Most Foxbody mustangs built around August were a mix of parts from the current year and the new coming year.

The 86 also had 15 less hp than the 85

In model year 1982 the 4.2L engine was available in the GT, and in Canada only the 2.3T (turbo) engine was available in the GT. in model years 1983 and 1984 the 2.3T engine was available in the (Turbo) GT. In model years 1984 and 1985 the 5.0L engine in the GT could be carbureted or fuel-injected (CFI). Sure did! I have one on my '88. Installed it the 1st month I had the car.

86 and up verts got the rack. Had to remove mine to put the Saleen wing on.

verts got the rack in 86 so they could mount third brake light.

85 and 86 gt had the nicest front seats

I want a set of cheese graters so bad I’m 20 and I’ve owned 5 foxes and it’s been 3 lxs a gt350 which was before graters and a gt that had been swapped to different lights
