How to temporarily activate a Volvo radio without the code, Volvo 850, S70, 960, etc. - VOTD 

Hey Robert, thanks for the video and info ! i've just tried this out on my 1996 850R and it worked :) this is exactly what I needed to do so now I will spend the money and get the code from Volvo. BTW it worked for about 5 mins then shut down. Cheers Darrin from Australia.

Robert, I honestly don't know what we would have done without your tutorials (1998 V70 AWD 211K; 2000 V70 SE 200+K, 1997 850 GLT 150K). Thank you! The '98 radio worked perfectly. The auto has been on jack stands, battery disconnected for a long time as we did various maintenance jobs (as in months.....). Finally got some major stuff completed, took her down, reconnected & charged the battery, and took her for a ride. No radio! (I knew I would have to enter the code.) Entered it and the screen just stayed there with the code displayed. Later, I deliberately entered an incorrect code & got the EEEEEE display. Pulled the battery, disconnected the cables, let it sit overnight. Tried again. Same story. Displays the code and unable to even use the power button to shut it off. It only shuts off if you turn the key to off. I have seen one forum post with this problem but no suggestions or even responses to the poster. Have you ever heard of this? I really don't want to get another battery at the Pick 'n' Pull. Hopeful.....& grateful for what you do.

Hi Robert, I'm back!!!! Just bought a 98 S70 Volvo and the radio is locked and I don't know the code, Hope your videos will help fix this and some other minor problems. Them Volvos are tough cars and I can't seem to get away from them. Keep up the good work, helping poor people and giving good advice. God Bless you and your family.

Hey Robert love the videos! I have a Volvo s40 2005 and I'm having an issue with the radio. It won't turn on! The car picture shows up and then it goes back to just nothing. My other features work just not the radio. I did take the radio or cd deck out before it stopped working so it may be anti theft but it doesn't ask for a code! Please if you could help me figure this out. I've got no radio menu or anything. Just climate and car.

Hello Robert, my first car is a 1998 Volvo S70 eventually I will have to change the oil and do some work under the car however since I'm a beginner at DIY car repairs I'm not exactly sure were to place the floor jack to jack up the car and were to put the jack stands. Do you have any videos showing how to do this or know of any sources. Thank you

Bought a junk yard radio. Tried this to check the radio before leaving It work as did the radio. Next step will be to call the dealer to get the code. Thanks for the information

Ok I tried the code wrong three times and it locked me out so after 3 weeks of regular driving waiting for it to say Code again instead of Off the Code still won't pop up and I tried the 6 button + pwr button a couple times too-- still no luck
