My car is a 528xi and it has this thermostat here. When driving, the temperature drops to 76-80 degrees and the engine runs cold, is there any way to increase the temperature a little?
Replace the thermostat, the mechanical piece stuck open which is better then if opposite, but this is the only way. There quite a few OE options on FCP for the kit, pump and thermostat. Just highly suggest you not to buy a cheap Chinese pump, i did it, and it was a mistake. I also have video on how to replace the water pump on n52. Good luck
The new thermostat has been changed and this problem is here again. When coughing, the temperature rises to 105-109 degrees and then falls to 76-80 when moving. At the same time, the cooling fan is turned on even at low temperatures. @@Makhnovets
@@levantsulaia3804 why did you replace the thermostat in the first place? Did the pump was replaced? Is this issue presented before replacing the thermostat?
The temperature was falling while driving and I thought the thermostat was stuck in the open position, I changed it, but it is still the same, and now as I see it was an electric thermostat... In my car, the catalyst failed and the O2 sensor was not turned off by software. Could this be because the engine is running under load, so the temperature drops to 80 degrees?@@Makhnovets
