This video demonstrates how to use the handy-dandy Fellowes TB 250 thermo-binding machine to make books at home, the office, or... maybe even the library. See the blog entry for more detail: infomotions.com/blog/2009/08/h...
@Its0all0behind0me Alas, while you do not need to purchase special paper for the inside of the book, you do need to purchase special covers. They come with the machine, and you can buy extras. They cost less than a $1 a piece.
@@cryptoqueen5962 i I think you could insert a heavier paper as a first page and a last page, but don't make the paper too think because I don't think the glue will adhere correctly.
Is it possible to use traditional white glue to stick the pages and cover? Or can you use any strip of hot melt glue? Est-ce possible d'utiliser de la colle traditionnelle blanche pour encoller les pages et la couverture ? Ou peut-on utiliser n'importe quelle bande de colle thermofusible ?
Shameese, no not really. The Thermobind is designed to use the covers, which contain the glue, to make the book. Alas. A notepad? Try this... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GJvlUT_daQA.html
ericleasemorgan That video doesnt help. I was wondering what to use to create a tablet or pad that the pages can easily tear off. I figured Thermo binding would be the best option because of the glue. Is there a machine that doesnt require a cover
+HokkyokuDoragon Videos Alas, you would need to purchase both the Thermobind gizmo as well as some of their covers. I don't think this video is good for your purposes.
This is an interesting concept, but these machines start at $100 and go up. I've seen hot glue and muslin work just as effectively. And please provide additional information. Is there a glue strip inside the plastic cover you are using?
@patricia, you are 100% correct. While the machine works very well, a hot glue gun plus bits of muslin (fabric) would do quite nicely too. Yes, there is a glue strip inside the plastic cover.
If you put the Glue with a pencil in, you're sick. sorry guys, but this is really not the way. Even i saw already forks, knives, spoon, glass, wood (likePencil), and even textile. All none.
I think it is a good idea to use a pencil (or something) in order to push the melted glue further in and between the pages. I suppose your milage may vary.
