Is it possible to use traditional white glue to stick the pages and cover? Or can you use any strip of hot melt glue? Est-ce possible d'utiliser de la colle traditionnelle blanche pour encoller les pages et la couverture ? Ou peut-on utiliser n'importe quelle bande de colle thermofusible ?
I went to Ball State in the early 2000's, and remember seeing it in much better shape even than this. I think it's still there, but so rusted out that it's pretty much unrecognizable.
Thank you for your support, and yes, I often make these sorts of books with more than three signatures, but things begin to get unwieldy when the book is more than an inch thick.

I have used comb binding machines since my first Heavy Duty Ibico Binder from the 90's. This is a very different machine.=>>allmy.tips/FellowesBinding?チ My previous binder was solid metal, heavy and built like a tank. This not so much. Does that make it bad? Of course not. This unit is a series of metal punch and binding materials in a plastic housing. This makes the unit light and probably less heavy duty. That is fine. I never used the heavy duty aspects of my old unit anyway. Not too mention as I get older moving the older unit make me worry I am going to through out my back. Not this device. It is very light and for 99% of what I do it is perfect. It punches fine, the comb binding is simple and it is just heavy enough not to skate around on the counter while you are working on it.
What? You are kidding? This is fantastic, thankyou so much, ive always said i have wanted to make a book ober the years, you have made it so easy i love it. Thankyou
This is an interesting concept, but these machines start at $100 and go up. I've seen hot glue and muslin work just as effectively. And please provide additional information. Is there a glue strip inside the plastic cover you are using?
@patricia, you are 100% correct. While the machine works very well, a hot glue gun plus bits of muslin (fabric) would do quite nicely too. Yes, there is a glue strip inside the plastic cover.
