Hi Ulises! I have been looking to get my hair cut but in a style that more resembles the haircut in the beginning of the video. I am of mixed race, so my hair has been a bit complicated, and I wear a hat to cover it. I am thinking of doing a keratin treatment to get it to flow around the same way as the person in the video before the cut. Do you think the keratin + thinning with the razor will make that look work? I have never actually tried to do anything with my hair, I used to just let it naturally curl when its longer after a shower, but now (I guess because i wear a tight hat everyday) it doesn't really curl. It's more wavy/awkwardly curly at this length and it ends up straight when I cut it under 2 inches (its at around 3 1/2 now).

Is the length the same? Everytime I ask my barber to thin my hair out I lose a significant amount of length. Will the knife method keep my length? My current babee uses thinning shears to do the job.

I have wavy/curly hair and it gets straight when you thin it out.. So if you want to get curly hair dont thin out hair.. if you want it more straight.. thin out your hair :)

Hey bro it's about the blowdry techniques use a brush and brush with the blowdryer... Maybe use a blow dryer gel to help straightening hair out... And remember Blowdry you hair and different direction with the brush and use Some products withhold... And Nat Payn thanks for answer my question to my bro... I have the exact same hair and while the cut was good, the end result was pretty ordinary. Matt hair products are the absolute devil on thick hair. They give the illusion of texture and volume which is exactly what you don't want, as the end result looks boofy and fluffy. Same with hairdrying - added way too much volume. It's personal preference really, but thick hair NEEDS shine and wet products in my opinion to get that seperation and make it look more controlled.

This is nothing compared to Okinawan Japanese hair but were so rare there's no tutorials for it. Hair salons won't cut my dad's hair because there afraid of bleeding to death from all the spliters.

I wish there was a way to "thick out" my hair! When I was a little kid to my late 20's, my hair was ridiculously thick. I felt good about myself because I liked the way I looked and so did women. At 30, my hair started to thin like crazy. It SO sucked and still sucks! I decided not to take the two oral meds. for hair loss because my doctor said the main one can cause permanent sexual side-effects. Some of my friends did take the meds. and they've worked well for all of them. One of my friends should be the poster boy for Propecia. His hair is way thicker now than it was when he was in his early 20's. I wear a lot of hats, especially on windy days. It's probably time to sack up and shave my head. I can only imagine that'll take a long time to get used to.

ball the answer is no, because he has thick curly hair... If you have thick straight hair , it can stay thin for years if you don't cut it but you can get back to your thick hair if you cut all the layers... By using thinning scissor you can control on how thin you like with your hair, it is easy to style when your hair is straight and layered like asian korean and Japanese hair style does
