Thanks- this was a three step process. 1st step thinking it was easy. 2nd step crying lots of crying. 3rd step just sitting in a corner looking up how to do this.
Hi! Thank you for this video!! I found a work around for that last difficult part: I sent a piece of cut thread through front to back, tied the end of the thread I wanted to bring through and pulled it through that way. I hope this helps!
Thank you for this! I bought one of these new so many, MANY years ago, and I never even took it out of the box until the other day. I thought it would be handy to have in the same room as I do rug tufting instead of having to go across the house to use my regular serger. Oh hell no! Once I started trying to thread the thing, I realized why it had never been used. I’m relieved to see that I’m not the only person who has had a hard time threading this little 🤬. Congratulations on conquering the lower looper! 🎉🎉🎉
@@kimbewrlly Definitely! I’m also glad I saw other videos about the notorious broken gear before I tried threading mine again. Of course, I had to take the cover off of mine after I saw those, and my tiny gear is one that is broken straight from the box. I have 2 full size sergers because I inherited one from my grandmother, so I’ll just move one of those into the “tufting room”, AKA my bedroom. The nightmare tiny serger is going away! 😂😂😂
My husband and I just spent over an hour threading this same machine. We took off the fabric guide so we could get to that last one. We had to use needle threaders at times. I pretty much lost it while doing this. I don’t feel so bad about wanting to throw it out the window. It was so frustrating. Thanks for this video.
I have never laughed so hard in my life. I can barely type. Wait, wait, wait. I'm hurting from laughter. That third thread OMG. The Singer Company desperately needs to watch this video.
@@kimbewrlly : Did you find by using the threader to make this somewhat easier; particularly when you have to pass the thread from back to front?? Like yourself, it took me 45 minutes to thread this serger the first time However, the 2nd time took me 13 minutes. I had to come back to watch your vid again - I needed something to put a smile on my face today!!!
Remember a sewing machine/serger is made up of moving parts (so are we!!!) so turn the hand wheel a bit forward and see the moving part you are aiming for. I can see the pattern but you need to look at it from all angles. Turn machine around and get a good look or even upside down careful not to drop!! You got this!!!
Thank you for this video! Just bought this used. Have watched other “threading” videos where the RU-vid just says it was very hard so they didn’t film it! So happy you made this video!
Nancy Wilbur thank you so much for watching ❤️ I know I messed up on here at the last thread but this is by far one of the best unedited ones I’ve ever filmed ❤️❤️❤️ glad I was able to help!
Got one of these and soon to get an old Janome MyLock 234 surger in a few days. I think I will send the Singer Tiny Serger back. Know what's it like threading a serger my previous surger was a Babylock bl3-407.
Thank you so much for posting this. I bought one of these second hand and was confused about how to thread it as it did not come with any instructions and the "flip down cover" was missing and so I thought that maybe the "loops" to thread the threads through were missing too. Now I can use it ...so happy 👍😊😊
Sapna Sharma thank you so much for taking the time in watching my video! Hahaha I really made fun of myself here because I didnt lift the last needle til the end when I should’ve to make it easier for me to thread the last one hahahaha! Learn from my mistake 😹
Suggestion - when demonstrating threading, use different neon colors of thread so we can better follow the threading processes of each spool... when you use all white, it starts looking the same and gets confusing!
That is exactly what my mom said! And yes you’re both right! Honestly I wasnt thinking about that at all when I filmed this, I was more concerned if I wasted money buying it from a thrift store and if it’s broken haha! The thread I used were the ones included with the machine. Definitely for future sewing videos like these I will use different color for threads. Thank you for watching! ❤️
The music itself reminds me of my mind ticking ... trying to figure this out lol . Thanks for the video! This looks so daunting that I think I’ll get 3 spools of clear thread to avoid threading when changing fabric colors
Con ese video parece traumante el proceso.Tengo una de esas en realidad es sencillo. Ademas la maquina cuenta con luz interna q facilita el enhebrado.La luz enciende al desconectar el pedal.
My nephew to it home to if could thread it. I didn’t even try. He brought it back today and said it was very frustrating. I showed him your video and could relate. I sent it with brand new spools of thread. Should last me a while. Hahaha!
Thank you so much! I’m gonna have to try that! Thank you for watching 🙏🏼 the tweezers I was using actually came with the serger ‘cause I only got mine at a thrift store I just got lucky the tools were included. Haha!
Everyone says once you do get it threaded to change thread to new one tie the new one to old thread spool and just pull it through until you reach needle dont put the knot of thread through needle cut it then thread needle. My question is how does thread go through each tensioner knob? Do you wrap it completely around once then down? Do you go right to left on each knob? Do you go left to right?
Natasha Williams UGH OMG 🥺🥺🥺 These comments really be getting to me like I too have no idea why I was one day just like, “oh let me record while I figure this out myself” ❤️❤️
👏Looks like the diagram is not exactly angled to show accurately where that third thread is supposed to go...that is typical for diagrams...glad you were able to figure it out...you are to be commended for your persistence! 😖😩😵 PS: Considering one of these & wanted to see what might be involved...thank you for the preview! 😣😒😕
On that last needle -I took a very small needle from my pincushion, and inserted the hole end of it into that back hole of needle three on the machine - from front to back. I held that needle so the hole was behind the machine needle opening, facing up and down. It was then not too difficult to thread the tiny needle a bit and pull the thread through the bigger hole on the machine needle. (Hope that's clear. ). I also got mine at a thrift store and just had to try it. Now that it's threaded - it works!
Thank for this! I got mine off FB Marketplace and they had 3 different colors of thread on and barely even threaded correctly. This is helping me so much right not 😂 I’m doing all gray.
I will honestly rather have the big one instead of this one because you’ll be able to do a whole lot more, when it comes to longevity of the device, I haven’t used this for a long tine yet so I cant really say. I only got this one because it was so cheap at the thrift store and it was definitely A STEAL and its small and compact perfect for my small room haha!
@@kimbewrlly does this really over lock like the big one does? I actually have one but seems to me it doesn't serger firm like the big one does. Moreso, I follow the illustration on the body for threading, hope it is same as what you were doing?
Hello if I am not mistaken, what I understood is your machine is not working and the needles aren’t crossing? Have you tried moving the knob? If you have and it still doesn’t move I don’t think it’s reparable not unless you take it to a shop.
