09/05/24 ... I have found that after 1-2 hours the bobbin area starts clanking ... I have oiled that area but once again after 1-2 hours of use it starts making the same noise. I really like this machine except for the noise. I have to stop and mess with it again. I talked to couple other people that they have experienced the same thing!! At this point I would never suggest to anyone to buy this machine! I am very vigilante keeping the machine clean and oiled but I also don't feel that it's good for any machine to require so much oiling. I haven't used this machine for a year now....
Thanks for the video. I noticed that you missed the needle bar guide when you were threading the upper thread. Is there any reason why you did not use the automatic needle threader?
I apologize for my late reply to you. You are absolutely right, I forgot to thread it through the guard just above the needle. Thank you for catching my mistake. I could never get the automatic needle threader to work correctly so I never use it. I just thread it manually. Based on online comments when I first got my machine, I found that many others could not get the automatic needle threader to work either.
Thank you so much for watching! If you check the video at 2:05, and again at 2:50 to 3:40, you will see I did thread the thread through the hook in front of the needle. I did not use optional needle threader. I was threading the needle manually. Perhaps that is what the confusion might have been.
Hi Linda! I apologize for the delay in responding to you. Yes, I have used C&C thread in my Brother machine but I find it is very linty. I prefer to use Aurifil or other better quality thread for piecing but I do use C&C for quilting my quilt tops when I do it myself. Thank you for watching and commenting!
