I have used this rig for most of my deep-sea fishing trips but not yet a video and I'm considering making a video using this rig soon. I'm sure you could 1/8 oz jig head as long as it holds the bottom. I have another video may be closer to what you're looking for so check this video out (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KSMI0PaokUE.html).
Hi there, I never heard anyone saying anything about the hook's directions, but I do prefer it point upward toward the mainline since you're pulling the line upward to retreat the fish, it would help setting the hooks better :D
Hi there!, since the distances between the hooks and the main line is about 3 inches, I would recommend the distance between weight and the bottom hook to be at least 4 to 5 inches to avoid tangle incase the hook sag downward for any reason. Thanks for watching and have nice day!
This is the poorest rig in human history. Bad results in every condition , unless... you find a fish school in feeding frenzy. When fish is scarce this rig is useless. Plane.
