Every video I see on how to make a slip knot everyone’s making it so difficult and so much more than it actually is. This is one of the only videos I’ve seen of someone teaching it as it should be done. Which is making it simple and not over complicating it
I know how to crochet and making the slip knot was the hardest part in my opinion. Btw I love you vids you are so inspiring you were I reason I started to crochet. I started 3.ish months ago.😁

I am an absolute beginner at crochet and I really want to make one of those bee plushies out of blanket yarn, but I have no idea how to start making a “magic circle”. (I think that’s what they’re called!!) do you think you could do a tutorial? These are really helpful little mini tutorials!!
I just amde a jumbo bee with velevt yarn but i recommend you use fuzzy yarn its really really soft and you can make a bee with it really fast (maybe in 1 or 2 days
at first i had no clue on how to do a slip knot. i tried with very thin yarn to practice and it made a big difference now. now i can do it very fast. thank you so much!
I gave up crochet a few years ago cause I was just too busy. The O got very sick and I V's got in the way. I forgot how to do a simple slip knot. So frustrating. But now that I have found your tutorial I am going to make a support pickle for a xriend facing surgery. Wish me luck and many thanks to you😅

You can also try wrapping the yarn around your finger once then wrap the end around again but making an and crossing them over then pulling the 2nd loop under the first and pulling tight. Hope this helps! ❤❤❤
Holly is great with tutorials, so she'll probably come with one soon! I'll try to help with what I can over text. When you've closed the loop around your hook, wrap your yarn that is connected to the spool around your hand/fingers in a way that gives you appropriate tension then hold where the slip knot ends with your thumb and middle finger. Your yarn that you've added tension to should be facing up. Turn your hook away from you, put the hook under the yarn, and turn it back towards you. Now you'll have yarn in the hook, and pull through the slip knot a little bit, so that your new chain is made. Again, turn your hook away from you, grab your yarn and turn it towards you and pull through the loop. This will give you chains, and you can made small test pieces to work out the tension that works for you! Hope that made a bit of sense. In the meantime, you can try some other tutorials like simplydaisy for a beginner tutorial, she's also a great crochet youtuber. I learnt it from her! Holly's temperature blanket is such a cool project though, and she explains really well too!

The way I do my slip knot is wrapping the yarn on my pointer finger my middle finger and index finger Then taking the loop off and holding it in place then taking the yarn and pulling it through the loop then tightening it.
Another easy way is if you wrap the yarn around your finger twice and put the first wrapped yarn over the second one and then repeat it one more time and pull
Thank you so much i have been watching videos on how to finger nit a blanket and they all start off with tying a slip not, the tutorials go so quick and it confuses me so much😭 this reall helped me learn and didnt make me confused snd overwhelmed instantly ty:)
What i do is to wrap it around my pointer finger twice but keep it a lil loose, then i grab the working yarn and create an X with the non-working yarn and loop it over my finger and pull.
