Last September I fished Planting Ground Lake near three lakes. I used the double jig rig vertical jigging. caught double blue gills and double crappies. What a blast. I also added a bobber caught fish but no doubles. Thanks
Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats ru-vid.comUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.
Well presented and well explained! I didn't understand the 3-in-1 bobber till now, got to get some. I would not have tied a jig that way, now I'll have to try it. Tight lines and fair winds.
Man I love these videos! I’m from Tennessee and noticed some people spider rig with bobbers. And some don’t , so I was wondering why. I love to crappie fish but only handpole.
Some anglers find it easier to see a bite when spider rigging with bobbers. I know other anglers with put beads on the line between the last to eyelits on the rod, so when a fish bites the beads rattle.
Nice Video, can you tell me the Brand of jigs you are using in this Video? Also what Brand Bobber are you using? And are you using Braid and Flouro? How many lb test? Thank you!
Thanks Davis for the video. I know this is kind of off topic, but I am curious what your experience is with fishing around a full moon. I have only been crappie fishing since 2020. It seems like what I am catching drastically declines around a full moon. Which is supposed to be good fishing. My thought was maybe these fish are feeding heavier at night, or it could be just a coincidence. With weather or something else being the cause. What are your thoughts?
Oh, so you’re just tying jigs directly to braid with no leader? It appears that way - with bright yellow braid, even. Does that still work for you in clear water? I’ve often suspected the concern about line visibility is silly, since the lure has a hook sticking out of it and yet that doesn’t bother the fish. What do you think?
Yes. Typically if that happens it's time to change line. Monofilament will build up memory and if the lines is consistently wrapping around the bobber stem, the line needs to be replaced
If i pull the spring all the way back and hook the opening it pinches the line and wont slide if i come up a lil on spring it slides but falls off alot
God I absolutely despise slip bobbers that have those springs on them they always tangle up and lock up and don't even sink half the time, especially from the bank with wind. I prefer the ones where the line goes straight through the tube like a cigar float.
