@@luffystrawhat3172 it wasn’t cheating in school either. You just were dumb and didn’t know the rules. You can break your arm super easy doing just side pressure.
@@jacklets3851 This is how you are meant to arm wrestle, the way you do it in school is dangerous if you go against anyone who knows what they are doing as you will potentially go to snap city. You are supposed to use your bodyweight, and if your arm is not strong enough, using your bodyweight isn't gonna work anyways (the amount of force you exert via bodyweight, same amount your arm needs to absorb, newton's second law of motion). That is why arm wrestlers wrestle the way they do.
@@nxxxxxs Professional arm wrestling is the most pure arm combat strength based sport you can get. At that level, being generous I would say it is 90% strength and 10% technique. Even a woman who trains arm wrestling can beat a bodybuilding dude because arm wrestling requires very specific strength.
@@itszaki5267 not at all. Chances of injuries decrease greatly actually. When guys do dumb sidepressure battles without moving their bodies that’s when arm breaks happen.
@@Anonymous_Service_Leaks People see this as cheating because it's disingenuous to the nature of the sport. Why is arm wrestling even a thing, it's a test of strength. Not a test of strength, niche technique and knowledge of rules and regulations. It's lame.
@@0ne2thr33 you still need strength to pull off these techniques. If a random high schooler tries to toproll someone like Denis Cyplenkov or Devon Larratt, the high schooler will fail big time
For those who says it's cheating: 1. It's not, actually toproll is one of the safest ways to armwrestle and is completely legal in all pro competitions 2. It's not 90% tech 10% strength, tech without strength is nothing. It's more 70% strenght, 30% tech. People train for years to make their wrist, fingers, forearm, bicep, tricep and lats strong, so they can actually use different techniques efficiently Tech can help you to use ur power more efficiently, but If u r weak, it won't help that much and, of course, it lowers the risk of injury. So if u want to break ur arm or ur shoulder, u can still say that it's cheating
@@Papaspronator the technique is correct but the way they are doing the hit is the issue top rolling is fine and I’m assuming the commenter is aware of that but the way they are hitting in a match is dangerous
If you don't use good technique all that does is increase risk of injury and make it so you can't utilize your muscles in the right way, it does not prove raw strength, it's just incorrect armwrestling
@@motivationmine1 No one but a fool is always right. Never argue with fools. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.
If your toproll doesnt look like this, it doesnt have to mean you are doing something wrong. It could just mean that you are doing more of a posting style toproll with your knuckles higher. It works better for some people.
The weakness of a toproller is hook coz of the levarage difference and the length and shape of your arm determines what technique you use For ex : im a hook user coz my forearm is small and so its easier to defeat a toproller unless the toproller has high endurance level to overpower me
@@asadsikander5603 It is not because of a technical advantage the hook has over the toproll, It is only because of strength in relation to their opponent.
So you remember when you were 10 years old and you "armwrestle bullshit" against you teammates kids or when you were at the bar and you and your friends were drunk and said "lets armwrestle so we can say this is pure foream strength". But now when you see actual profesional technique you are nostalgic about your old times LOL
Take it slow, dont do too much table time and allow for recovery. Each time your arm hurts like that for a few days but can still recover completely your elbow is actually getting stronger. And next time it will be a bit easier. Although your comment is 3 months old now so maybe you already figured that out.
grab them lower by the wrist, watch them struggle. and people in comments saying its all technique never wrestled with someone. its all strength, just specific one....
This is not toproll. Toproll is loading into the fingers and pull so that your opponent's fingers should struggle to cup you and after doing those, pronate and end the match, if you still struggle to pin the opponent's arm with his hand toprolled, you can transition to a press and then take the win. What he did was cupping which is counter to toproll...
