The real culprit here is that we live in a society that "pushes" overhydration! Amongst those people I see walking in the streets, the number of them carrying these huge water containers is staggering! The solution to this dilemma is right in front of our faces! All you have to do is cut down on the amount of water you drink, and you will definitely be urinating, much less! Too much of a good thing is not good at all! Besides, the only thing you are accomplishing is overworking your kidneys!
It seems most people with this issue who are younger have a bladder capacity issue. The more you pee, the lower your capacity stays. You have to re train your capacity and also your mental health to not get anxious and give into the initial sensation. Your bladder can hold at least another hour after the initial sensation. Stop the fixation and Over thinking.... that's the root cause. Start with tracking daily how much you pee and then try to reduce it day by day to once every 3 hours at least.
Yeap, I'm facing that myself. I'm 40 (so at the age where prostate size can be an issue in guys). But, my prostate apparently is only a minor part of the problem. The bigger one is just that I've that my bladder capacity is so small from going any time I have the urge. Also, from not having any pelvic floor strength. To fix it, it really is a multi pronged approach like Jilly said. Pelvic floor exercises every day. (Which btw, have great sexual bonuses for both men and women). And retraining of your bladder and mind. I also got on some bladder relaxation meds for now, mainly for at night. But, they also help during the day and take some of the urgency away so it makes re-training easier. I DO suggest going to a doctor to make sure nothing major is happening.
I think we should all get a life here! Providing we are not drinking gallons of water all day, we should be able to go without urinating for four, five, or six hours! Not every 15 minutes, one-half hour, one, two, or three hours! Like everything else nowadays, this is also too overdone! We have better things to do with our time!
And what is this "150 mls, 300 mls"?! Do you bring a measuring cup with you?! LOL! Come to think of it, this topic would make excellent material for a stand-up comedy act, as it sure would get a lot of laughs! Not to mention the tons of money the comics would make! They would make so much money that they could retire early! LOL! Gee, this gets me thinking that I had gone into the wrong profession! LOL!
Did it work for you it started happening to me a week ago and I got checked it's not uti its bladder overactive but how it happened suddenly I dont understand
this has affected me so much and i'm only 16. Ive had to stop going to school full time, can't go shopping, hang out with my friends and can barely go on a 5 minute walk. I'm finally taking back control

Hi Jilly, Im a 32 yr old male and was diagnosed with overactive bladder 2 weeks ago. I get the urge to pee through the day. Taking a pee provides short term relief only. I have no bladder pain. My GP referrral to the urologist could take months and i want to be proactive. I've gone head in and started a bladder diary and worked up to a voiding schedule of 2hrs 30min each time i pee. I've been on this training for a week. However the urge to pee remains everyday, should the urge go down in the coming weeks? im drinking 2ltr of water in the day - say from 8am to 6pm.
Hi Jilly Bond. My health check up shows that my urine system everything is normal. But this problem has been ongoing for 6 years after cesaerean child birth. I think it's cause by the child birth that have unrinary detention problem. I can pee smoothly but each time after emptying my bladder, few minutes later i feel like to pee again, but when i try to empty the remaining urine to ease the discomfort sensation in my bladder, the urine amount is very small. Does bladder retraining exercise help to solve my problem? After first time emptying my bladder, should i go toilet a second time to empty the remaining urine or should i hold it a little longer perhaps half an hour longer to clear the rest of urine to train my bladder to be stronger? Sometimes i need to go back a few more times to completely clear the bladder. Hope you can reply and give some suggestions. Very much appreciated. Thank you in advance
I drink half a litre of water every time I feel thristy after how longtime ? I should go to the toilet because sometimes I go to the toilet every half or one hour????
Im a man and have this condition since 1 year. I tried everything, my bladder is always contracted and sometimes I have pain. Anxiety is the cause. It ruins my life sometimes I just want to die because I spend more than 5000 euros in therapy in one year and everything and today I had pain and unberable urge all day. No improvement. I practice bladder training like every two hours or when my bladder is really full like my physiologist said but today I could'nt, too much urge and pain and pressure. Fuck this
@@theoutsider8209 Juste accept you have this pain and discomfort everyday. It's here for now, don't reject it, don't worry about it, just try your best to live your life with it. Even meditate on it, like be gentle and accept it's presence. I know it's sounds crazy but this is the only way, and it will go away 99% except in stressful moments, but it will not last. Do a lot of exercice, relaxation, méditation and accept it's presence. It will go away in a few months, it can takes time, dont give up. I have a real disease now on my eyes which is 100000 times worse. You, it's just anxiety.
@@Alix777. thank you so much. what a relief.. yeah ive been anxious for quite a while now. i have illness anxiety. so sorry for whatever is happening to you right now. im gonna offer a prayer for you, boss.
Is this for when you cannot empty your bladder completely/urinary retention? I don't have incontinence. Please reply, I really have this issue since I was a child... I was told is bad to hold the urge, but I always want to pee. Will this help, have already been to the doc for years, nothing bad in tests, but this issue has not resolved...
Hi. Have they diagnosed urinary retension with an ultrasound scan? I'd go and speak to your doctor about your symptoms and get yourself referred to a pelvic health (or women's health) physio who will be able to assess you fully and provide individualised advice. Constantly needing to go is definitely something that can be resolved. All the best.
can someone help me. i always would like to go to pee everytime. especially at night. im 30 years old. ive been like this for quite a while now. im so anxious about this
sometimes i have to go pee every 15 for about 2 hours and after the 2 hours its normal again but its super weird. is this because of stress or ther something wronge with me
I have exams ,but during my exam due to stress my bladder hurts more and I have urgency to pee but I can't there permission to go out . I am fearing to write exams Any one has solution for this....?
I don’t find that helpful. I struggle my whole life (43 years) with this. Such a training don’t work for me. It’s a real issue which can’t be fixed with such training or easy tricks. I need to go to the toilet about 10-20 times a day (about 150-300 ml) and up to 10 times during the night. Doctors didn’t find any issues.
