I actually recommend using a bona-fide translator if you want a site that functions well in the destination language. Automatic translation can often sound clunky.

I manage a few multi-lingual sites. I used Polylang on a couple of them (and rejected using WPML) before I found TranslatePress. TranslatePress makes it soooo easy. All of the sites I've used TranslatePress on were built with Elementor.

hello, im trying to translate English to ( rtl ) language but, when i switch to new language its also switching my layout from left to right ( all sections ) is there anyway to make translatepress JUST translate strings where it is, without mess with my layout? appreciate your response.

Hello Adam. Nice tutorial.. I have used wpml in my site but I'm thinking about translatepress after I will redesign it. You think translatepress is more lightweighted than wmpl? I read that wpml affects the load time of any page in WordPress.

The Google Translate paid version is a completely different beast which is very accurate according to professional translators. It's cheaper and more thorough including extras you mentioned. It's also easier to use than both options presented here. I use it with elementor and it offers front end editing bypassing elementor and of argue much much simpler for non developers to use.

Hi Adam Thanks for this helpful tutorial I used google translator instead of deepL in Automatic Translation section, and also the way you said in tutorial without automatic translation but for both when I test it, there is an error that I put it here: The requested URL /fr/ was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. please let me know what should I do, Thanks again.

It is very time consuming to do the translation via TranslatePress. Plus it is very laborious job to set it up and integrate with DeepL. And, by the way, DeepL has a very limited amount of languages available. So, it is a poor choice going long term. The best bet is ConveyThis. This aggressive startup is growing quickly and has all of the features that TranslatePress plus more. Give it a try.

Hi Adam! Thanks a lot for all your very helpful videos! I've installed the plugin and activated it with the settings as shown by your video. When I try to open my website after it gives me a bug- message saying "A critical error has occurred on your website." When I de- activate the plugin my website works again. Would you happen to know what causes the bug?

Thank you for this Adam. How can you change the font or images (for example) in the translated version of a page? The translated page is not listed in the page list and I can't find a way to edit it. For example, only certain fonts won't well for readability in Arabic and that is what I am trying to change but can't figure out how to do any editing on the translated page. Thank you very much. It is very easy to make a multilingual site this way. I made little video's and podcasts in different languages, how can I do the English ones on the English site and the German ones on the German site? You can change images, but you can'n change video's or podcasts. That is too bad. Or is there a way?

Thanks for the video. Is there some CSS that I can add to make the shortcodes names box that I have above my main nav. smaller, the font just seams to big and the margin and padding doesn’t help?

Great video but having it as a menu is a little weird I think. Is there a way to make a button where if you hover over it, it lets you select the language? Like for me my website is in Swedish so a button (where when hovered on will show English and Swedish. Obviously Swedish is will be underlined or not shown meaning uses can select the English language). Visa versa as well if you are on the English site and want to change to Swedish

Hi Adam, I have being doing some research, and found out that after I deleted the plugin I DO can go to my frontpage. I am using the template ASTRA, so it seems that it is not working with ASTRA, did you have other followers that encountered the same issue? and if yes, how did they solve it? best regards Bessel

My site defuault language is English, how ever I live in a french province in Canada called Quebec. The keyword receives more monthly search volume in french. I am in the process of translating the site using your method and so far I love it. Really easy way to do this. Now my question is doing it this way, will the keyword im targeting in french be seen by google robots? Would my site be able to rank for the french version of the english keyword? thank you in advance
