Rose Tyler was my first doctor who companion back in 2005 and remains a big part of doctor who for me! I'd say Donna Noble is my favourite companion because I just love her dynamics with the doctor and how they are literally best mates! Martha Jones is such an underrated companion and I loved Clara too! Bill Potts was a breath of fresh air to doctor who and I wish she'd had more time with the doctor! Yasmin Khan was a great companion but lacked back story and depth as a character, I'd say that Graham was probably the best companion from the chibnall era! And classic companions like Sarah Jane Smith, Jo Jones, Ace, Mel and Tegan are also some of my favourite companions! 😊😊

I would love it to travel around with the 11th or 13th Doctor even if it would be for only a short while like Dan did. I bet the experience alone would widen my horizon.

It's important to know that the companions are the true main characters of the show. The Doctor may be the title character, but we see him/her through the eyes of the companions. It's THEIR worldview the show is contextualized in at any given moment, as The Doctor's perspective is far too vast. The companions exist in the show for the same reason The Doctor brings companions: their perspective is literally down-to-earth.

With RTD back, I can see more character driven writing for the companions. I hope Ruby Sunday will be written well. I’m sure she will because of the way RTD writes companions.

good to see martha, was this dialogue that make her one my favorite companions. She is amazing, specially in torchwood season 2.

Glad we got some 'classic' stuff. Then I remember my first memory of this programme is from 1977 and I be sad.

Martha is the only companion in the new series of Doctor Who who saved the world when the Doctor had been captured by the Master. I wish the spin off show with her had come to fuitition. She is my favorite of the new companions. Sarah Jane is my favorite.of the old series. I cried when the actress who played her died.

I’m excited for all their adventures to come, the promo shots of the period costumes were enough to see to that, not to mention now having properly met 15 I’m even more ready!!

I have been ACHING for Martha to return for so many years. She was the companion when i found the show and she is extraordinary!

I think they should change the doctor out every year, and keep it a total surprise for the audience until the new season begins. Imagine, a season’s final episode begins with his/her death and beginning transformation…only then having to wait until the next season. Maybe it’s a man, maybe a woman, maybe a little Chinese grandma, or a 12 year old girl. New actors would then have a full season to flesh out some crazy story arc, only to die in the end. But the doctor lives on! It would be a great showcase for new talent, both in the actors and the writers.

Actually, given how old The Doctor is and total # of years he has traveled with companions we are aware of , The Doctor has travels the majority of their life w/o a companion.

If Louise Jameson (Leela) wanted to go for a ride with me, of course! Jenna Coleman's Clara met the Doctor, well, four times: as the Souffle' Girl who was really a Dalek; as the serving girl at the Rose & Crown, the scene shown when the Doctor finds her again (actually a governess this time; all with Matt Smith) and when Smith snaps into Peter Capaldi. It was never completely explained, but Clara turned out to be much more than a companion.

Oh I am sure Ruby and The Doctor will be the best TARDIS team to ever exist. I believe they will become best friends instantly.

My old classmate, Jarrett Matthews, who is an actor would make a splendid assistant to the new doctor.

I always loved the idea the doctor stands in front of me and invites me to the TARDIS. Like most of us, I think. I wouldn't think about and join. But this is one of these things you have to be fit and healthy. Since I am sick, I know I would die in the first adventure (and I would go with the doctor non the less). I don't need a wheelchair or something, but I am still invalid and not fast and strong enough. So, being a companion of the doctor needs healthy people. That's one of these things invalid people can't do. It's nothing about discrimination and so on, it's like a person with dyslexia teaching a language or a person with discalculia teaching math. Or an 1,50 metres person playing basketball in NBA. We accept it, when it's about sports but sometimes we have to learn there are more subjects. I would love to be a companion of the doctor, even I would die in the first adventure, but I know I could not be for long and defend Darleks, Cyberman, Weeping Angels and so on. That's it and it is okay. I can watch others having adventures with the doctor. No normal teacher can get more and I love it. ❤ Especially in real life. 😉

What if When the doctor was left abandoned by the wormhole and found by tecteun, what if the people/things/thing that abandoned him also done this to another person (Ruby, maybe she’s the Doctors sister) and perhaps they left her on earth and maybe that’s why the Doctors always been so fond of Earth because somewhere deep down he could sense that she was there and he’s always been looking for her without knowing. Maybe they abandoned both of them because of something really bad in there universe. Perhaps the one who waits?

THE INVISIBLE BEINGS The doctor and rudy went into the tardis, going through time, but then they stopped, they came across a big ship in space, they checked to see what was inside, but there was nothing. The doctor questions why isn't there anyone on this ship? Then, they hear a loud BANG and they check to see what it was. They ran to one of the doors saying "Actron 1", and when they opened it, a guy with a uniform fell on the floor, He then started to repeat "I failed them" four times until Saying, "For christ sakes, get out!' To be continued.

I used to watch The Doctor damn near religiously and I really miss it now that I can't. All I have left are these clips and snippets.

In the U.S. if you put one black person in a nontraditional role, it’s a huge debate. I don’t get that sense as much with the UK. A lot of people want Idris Elba as James Bond, but his race is barely mentioned in UK videos I’ve seen, but it’s such a fierce debate in America. I’m Canadian so sometimes I feel like I’m living in an apartment building with a someone starting fires and flooding the apartment below me.

The 16th doctor should be a color blind one, further skin color also Gypsy, Lower Bavarian, like brown or brownish shown on. Also feel damn discriminated against now. He should also point out his red-green weakness in every third sentence in the choreography. Furthermore, such discriminatory colors should disappear from the TARDIS. We want to please everyone, right? The plot is overrated, can then replaced by the dancing mouse.

A bit sad that he/she will be travelling now with 1 less fan after the decision to remove universal access and hide him/her behind a streaming service. I can't justify yet another streaming service just for 1 show. So I'm now pushed out of the tardis but I've had a good 50 years plus ... odd move to now restrict access to those who made the show a household name but I'm sure there is some logic in there somewhere ??? bye Doctor and safe travels.

Just watched the episode. Actors - great job. Russel T Davis seems to have Sabotaged Ncuti. Ncuti has no fixed outfit, a remote for a sonic screwdriver, unclear story for his first episode, and bi generation where David Tennant holds on to the main Tardis. Rather than hand the baton to a black doctor it’s been split, so the 14th doctor is still knocking about with many others. Not to mention Ncuti first appeared degraded in his pants. Russel seems to be a racist. His degrading of non whites seems reoccurring in every episode he writes. He adds in racism sometimes under the guise of awareness, when everyone is already aware. We are just at the stage of moving on and treating people equal. However, he’s using his shows to give young children racist behaviour for something to copy, starting the cycles again. He’s a good writer but seems to have some deep hidden prejudices.
