Can I just say I LOVE YALL. I've been using Differin Gel for 7 weeks now to treat my post acne hyperpigmentation and have been applying sunscreen during the day. My face has transformed so much its glowy and spots are fading slowly but surely. These videos are helpful and are confirmation to continue the routine I have with patience! Thank you!!!!! FYI: The sandwich method for the retinol & moisturizer you guys mentioned in another video is the BEST.

Using many "great" products to no avail over the years has made me circumspect about every product. You are saying that this video is "confirmation to continue the routine I have with patience". It means you still require some patience to see results. Am just trying to read between the lines here, since sometimes many people (including me) are trying to tell themselves that they see results when there are hardly any.

Did it get worse before it got better when you first started using it? I have it but i tried to during my worst breakout ever late last year and it felt like it was getting worse than it already was so now im afraid to use it :(
@believeinkhy
@believeinkhy 3 года назад
@@flxwercxrpse1871 Usually when I have started products my skin would purge. With the retinol I did have breakouts in the beginning and still breakout here and there but not as much as I use to. I think that’s bc I started using it only 3x a week @night then progressed to 4x a week. At night I cleanse, moisturize, retinol, moisturize. During the day I just cleanse, moisturize, and sunscreen. I’ve only been using it for 7 weeks and it takes about 12 to see results so I can’t say too much but maybe you can try again and just stay the course and keep your routine simple(I have trouble staying w/ 1 routine lol so I’m really trying bc it’s been recommended by so many). Hope this helps!

Have to say that topical retinoid products seem to be made to pry customers off their money without delivering any benefits or very little benefits. In all of my years of using retinol creams - 0.5 %, 0.25 % and 0.1%, I have not noticed an iota of difference in my skin texture.

@whitepaper5241
@whitepaper5241 3 года назад
@@aditbhiday well, retinol needs to be converted twice before it turns into retinoic acid on the skin. That's why it takes much longer than adapalene and tretinoin that don't need to be converted to work. Formulation and packaging also matter. Since retinol is light-sensitive, you want to buy a retinol product that is packaged in a tube, and not in a glass dropper bottle. Also, no matter how high the concentration of the retinol is, if the formulation sucks, it'll take even much longer to see results. In the worst scenario, you won't see results at all. This is why i prefer adapalene. It is not light-sensitive, much cheaper and works much faster.

Coming from a culture of "you're a dude, that's nothing to worry about/ skincare is for girls" I treated my acne and skin problems way too late. From my teenage years I always had intense and numerous acne, concentrated especially on my cheek area. And I have them in the worst places too like the back of my head and even my back (though I'm not sure if they have different names). I had allergies and only got treated for those, and my parents only realised that my acne was a big problem in 2019/20 when my cheeks were super swollen and red with white blobs of disgusting-ness. I never really cared either but at that point they were causing severe discomfort to me. Then I finally saw a dermatologist who seemed to solve most of my problems. I was happy! But you know what happened in 2020. Yes. Covid and lockdowns. So I couldn't even meet the doctor again. I was 18 when I got the proper treatment, I'm now 21. Most of my problems are now gone but I still always have some pimples, though they aren't as bad anymore. But I have quite a bit of scarring, deep ones too. So I'll probably see a good skin doctor again to treat it. I'm really happy that an informative and trustworthy video is here!

For my atrophic scars, I underwent 2 sessions of chemical peels, 2 sessions of microneedling, 5 sessions of fraxel and 4 sessions of subcision. My scars improved somehow. I just restored my skin barrier because I had dermatitis because of the weather. So now I'm on adapalene, twice a week, alternate with glycolic acid toner. Like differin in one night, rest the next day; glycolic toner; then rest then differin... so on. By the way, I developed atrophic scars when I went crazy with exfoliation and I had a massive irritation back in 2020.

Hey @@dee1921, best to check with your insurance provider on what exactly your policy covers. My insurance doesn’t cover the procedures but does cover the prescription medications. Everyone’s insurance is set up differently though.

I actually have good news in hypopigmentation. I had many cause I picked my scars, well they're tiny but they looked very obvious. They're now gone from using hydroquinone, not completely gone, but I'm defo seeing the difference in just about a month. So yeahh

I truly need to thank you guys for literally changing my life, I have suffered from acne, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, atrophic acne scars, and have always been worried for anti aging, but I never had the knowledge, nor the motivation, to use a skincare routine that was gonna address my specific problems or that i felt excited to keep the consistency of using, but almost 5 to 6 months ago I discovered you, doctor Youn, and doctor Dre, and with your help, I got to curate my own personal, very simple, and fun, skincare routine that I love and enjoy, I can say that right now my acne and hyperpigmentation are almost completely gone, I am a new person, I feel more beautiful and so confident, please, keep up your excellent work, you really are making the difference here with your amazing, educational and entertaining content. I just wanted to make you know the impact you've had in my live and how grateful I am. Ps. I loved your chart and screen shot it!!!

@@drewmarks5249 Wow thank you for asking, I live in Colombia, so I don’t always get to access the same products they mention, but i think I’ve managed to find very good equivalents, that contain the actives that the doctors recommend: In the morning 1. I cleanse my face with Dove bar 2. I use The ordinary caffeine solution for eye contour 3. La Roche posay vitamin C serum 4. Cerave facial moisturizing lotion (which contains niacinamide, ceramides and HA) 5. ISDIN tinted sunscreen 50 spf At night 1. I cleanse again with Dove bar 2. I put on Sesderma vitamin C eye contour cream 3. The Cerave moisturizer lotion again 4. Betarretín gel (tretinoin 0,025%) And finally, once a week, I use the Mary Kay charcoal mask that also contains salicylic acid for chemical exfoliation I have kept this for almost 10 months now, and I must say that keeping a skin care routine is one of the best decisions I’ve made for self care ever!

I have had chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser. It helped a little but I still have a lot of scars, so my question is: how do you know you have reached your peak when it comes to healing your skin? I lost hope that I will ever have a nice skin texture since I had acne since 10 and until my 20´s... it really gets to your self esteem. Also this was very helpful thank you!

Gospel of Jesus Christ We are saved by grace through faith. Not by works. The rapture is close. Please accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 KJV Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

He is consistently using the Banish Kit 2.0 and that helped him have good skin, less maintenance up to now. No need for expensive treatments or skincare

Can you (pretty) PLEASE make a video on how to convince a guy that a skincare routine-even the bare minimum of cleansing, moisturizing, and SPF-is necessary? 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 my boyfriend refuses to wear sunscreen, doesn’t believe it’s important, and thinks skincare is pointless. Idk how to convince him otherwise and I think he would benefit from hearing from male experts on the topic. Would love a basic ‘here’s why skincare is important’ video for short/long-term reasons.

I have several hypertrophic acne scars and had no idea they were even a thing until I got my acne under control. It's like having acne still, but without the pain and redness. Because of that, I'm always terrified that my acne will come back in those same spots since the places that scarred were my "hot spots" (no idea if that is a term, but it seems to describe what my skin always did). I absolutely loved your acne chart and the venn diagram was fantastic! Actually, the chart really helped me assess my skincare routine and throw out anything that truly wasn't helping my acne, and because of that I've finally got it under control! Your videos are truly helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge with us! 😃

You’re still so young - please try to see a derm to address these issues now. Your collagen growth decreases as you get older which makes it difficult to deal with true scars.
