I have pain in the ball of my foot. At times severe and I have to walk more on my heel. I felt like something had popped in my foot. Any idea what this can be. I am desperate for a dolution

Is it a tingling or pain sensation? Is the pain located in a particular spot? How long have you had it? Does it continue to hurt when you're not on your feet, especially after you've been walking for a while? Is there callousing?

I have similar pain, for sure sesamoiditis on left foot. Hours of walking on hard concrete floor for work. I've tried so many work boots and shoes, going wider has helped a bit. Using various insoles helps too but does restrict foot and toe movement. Now using footwear a full size longer and EEE or EEEE. Never had issue before. Minor calluses have formed between 2nd and 3rd smaller toes on same foot. Thanks for the video!. @@FootGeekzTV

Depending on what's causing the pain it could be immediate or it may take 1 to 2 weeks for swelling to subside. What type of discomfort are you experiencing exactly?

I can understand your prescription for getting someone out of acute pain, but won't it make the underlying issues worse in the longterm by further weakening the foot? What's the protocol for getting out of orthotics? If the foot isn't amenable to physio, why not?
@FootGeekzTV
@FootGeekzTV Год назад
We don't often work with hard shelled orthotic devices (as pictured in the video), as they have a tendency to make the foot become more dependent on the device than a softer more responsive device that slows down overpronation forces, yet encourages muscles to continue to stabilize the foot. If you're looking to wean yourself off of orthotics I'd suggest choosing a softer device or an off-the-shelf support that matches your arch well, but is non-rigid. Then focus on lower leg, foot and ankle strength, as well as overall postural awareness of your body. Poor posture can affect forefoot loading just the same. However, as you mentioned, for acute pain relief orthotics and rocker soled shoes can be extremely beneficial. Once pain is eliminated it's time to get to work :)

The padding of my feet keep getting red and swollen. It's always the sole of the feet and nowhere else. I recently started using a toe spacer and wonder if this has anything to do with it
@FootGeekzTV
@FootGeekzTV 21 день назад
Is that redness focused mainly around the toe spacer or across the entire ball of the foot? Why did you start using the toe spacer? Do you mean the redness and swelling didn't appear until after you started using the spacer?
@mancunianinlondon
@mancunianinlondon 21 день назад
@@FootGeekzTV I started using toe spacer because my small toes are crushing the inner toes and the nails were scraping on the inner toes. It did start after I started using the spacer but now has stopped and has started in my hands! its always the padding and not anywhere else in feet or hands. Probably an allergy or something biting me. It is summer

Hello please if you can offer some assistance today I have been walking with a significant stabbing kind of pain between my right big toe and second toe on the top of the foot and underneath in the soft area right behind the ball of the foot. I don't know if it's metatarsalgia or sesamoiditis or just gout but it's causing significant discomfort.

Is it painful to the touch, even if you just brush over it with a sheet or a feather? Does it only hurt when walking or does it continue to throb after you discontinue activity? When did it start to hurt? Have you increased your levels of activity lately? It's not common to have nerve pain between these two toes. If it's ball of foot pain, the pain would be primarily on the bottom of the foot.
@kellydione29
@kellydione29 Месяц назад
@@FootGeekzTV It really doesn't hurt to touch it, no matter how hard I press. Id say yes, the pain is mostly on the bottom, especially as my toes flex mid-step; so I am walking with shorter guarded steps. I put ice on the top of my foot yesterday for over 30 min and it felt good but didn't remove the pain.

@@kellydione29 I don't believe it's morton's neuroma type nerve pain or gout. However, it appears to be related to you loading the area on push off, especially if you take longer steps that cause you to push off harder on the ball of the foot. Do you have a longer second toe? It may be sesamoiditis, but that would mean the pain is under the big toe joint. You may have morton's toe, watch this video to learn more: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7ZNpYJLKKdU.html. Either way you will want to offload pressure on that area, either with a stiffer soled, rocker front shoe, a metatarsal pad, or a cut out of some type to relieve pressure on the area. At least until it's healed.

It was? What are you doing for foot pain treatment ideas?

I continue to have sharp pain in the left side of the ball of my foot despite getting custom orthotics made to offload the pressure of my body weight on that side of my foot. I previously had bursitis at that spot but this was shown on a MRI to be alleviated by a cortisone shot. I have been going to acupuncture treatments to reduce any inflammation that may be causing the sharp pain and burning sensations. I am trying to determine when I can begin to walk more distance and I have been told that if the sharp pain is less consistent, I am making progress. Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks for the question. Is the orthotic taking any of the pain away or nothing at all? Do you wear rocker soled shoes such as the Xelero Steadfast or Hoka Bondi when walking? Is the pain at the bottom of a specific metatarsal head? Does the pain radiate into the toes? Is there any numbness involved? How and when did it start?

Masa tenisi oynayamaz, uzun yürüyüş yapamaz oldum. Sizin videolarınızı izleyince sanki Morton nöroma olduğunu düşünüyorum. NE YAPILABİLİR? Teşekkürler
