Graves disease can be scary. It often starts off with terrible symptoms like a racing heart and a sensation of panic. All too often people who have it go on for some time before getting answers.
The core message I’d like to share is that Graves’ disease is treatable. Most people who have it can have the condition cured within 18-24 months by including natural treatments.
When they do get a final diagnosis, people often feel rushed into treatments that have permanent consequences. The natural question is whether there is some way to treat Graves’ disease without destroying the thyroid. Many wish to find a natural way to slow their thyroid without making them depend on long-term medications.
This article will explain what Graves’ disease is, how it is typically treated, and when natural treatments might be an option. Read More: www.drchristianson.com/how-to...
Were you recently diagnosed with thyroid disease? Maybe you were confused by the terms in social media posts. It can be hard to understand a topic if you never learned its foundational concepts. I am going to start taking this supplements. I al on methimazole for the past 3 months and I have been getting my lab test every month. I lowered my dose myself and my numbers are back to normal and I will stop taking it all together . I am a healthy woman overall and put on 20 pounds with this medicine is so frustrating because it feels like a force weight. I exercise every day and super active . The dose I was taking was 20 mg a day and went hypo right away. Then I decided to do 10 mg every other day and that’s when my numbers came to normal. Now I am taking 5mg. Every other day( all of this adjustment has been done by me knowing my body) doctors don’t care

I was gaining lots of weight and getting more interesting symptoms such as the weird dizzy discomfort in my head and memory issues when on it. My levels were approving on it, but I'm pretty sure it was doing some drastic changes to my cognitive ability. I no longer take it all, but I still feel the affects. Not sure if this is just all in my head or if people are going through the same thing. I had endocrinologist who originally just recommended diet, but she is very insist for me to go back on the methinmazole.

Yeah, my Endocrinologist doctor told me that life style changes like diet and exercise are not going to change the outcome of my recently diagnose of Graves’ disease. Aspartame (the artificial sweetener in everything) poisoning is often misdiagnosed as Graves Disease according to the Texas Heart Institute. I speak from experience. Aspartame use doesn't create these symptoms in everyone, but symptoms can look exactly like Graves Disease when they manifest. If you are drinking or eating "diet" or "sugar free" foods, you are almost certainly ingesting aspartame in the US. It costs nothing to read labels and stop consuming aspartame for a few weeks to see if it helps. My experience with artificial sweeteners other than aspartame has been symptom free. Hyperthyroid medications quickly made me sluggish when I stopped aspartame consumption and my dosage was halved, then halved twice more until my endocrinologist suggested I stop it entirely. I then did a 9-day Master Cleanse (lemonade diet) to cleanse my system and I've been symptom free for 15 years. Good luck.

Priceless information about Graves / Hyper 😊 and just reassuring to hear the hope and concrete steps. Thank you! Dr. Christianson, could you *please* consider talking about whether or not Botox and other neurotoxin is safe for those with autoimmune thyroid disease? My understanding is that when we inject neurotoxin our body begins to build antibodies against it, and this process over time could even make Graves Disease worse. Any thoughts? My doctor has offered me Botox for Thyroid Eye Disease but injecting myself with a toxin that will spook my immune system seems a bit counterintuitive for someone with auto-immune Graves disease 😆 no? Just want an honest take on this and can’t find enough research to draw my own conclusion. I did find a few studies on PubMed that show Botox injection could raise T4 & T3, not good! But maybe this effect is harmless and temporary? Thank you for your amazing work!

The front of my neck felt smaller and my tremors seemed gone. So I skipped a day and just ate another seaweed snack. Now I'm watching this video and wonder if I should continue with the seaweed. Please read the labels on what you put in your body. We have to understand that the problem is not in the thyroid gland . It reacts to the poisonous ingredients we are putting in our bodies. Coconut oil is good for your health and also use it as my cream lotion:)). Good luck and please do not depend on the pharmaceutical industry. They want us sick and weak:(.

Thank you Doctor. Back in September of 2022, I went to see a doctor for pain and difficulty swallowing, thyroid levels checked and came out normal, but nodule appeared in ultrasound. Fast forward, this past week I was diagnosed with Graves Disease(hyperthyroid). I would love to take the natural supplements you mentioned but still having pain while swallowing:( Endocronologist doctor said is not nodules causing swallowing problems and the cause could be something else. Had endoscopy done and everything came out ok except for mild hiatal hernia. What is going on, why the swallowing problems? Thank you

Hi! Before I learned that I had thyroid nodules. I experienced anxiety and one of its signs is difficulty swallowing.

@@LagingInspired Hello when I first developed these symptoms(anxiety and swallowing difficulties) I thought I was going crazy! Lol It gives me somewhat comfort that it was due to thyroid problems and to know I'm not the only one. They put me on medication, but really what i'd like to get is to the root of the problem and that is..how to get rid of the nodules. What has helped you and are you taking medication. Thank you for you input

The book title and description state hypothyroidism, is this book meant for Graves?
@DrChristianson
@DrChristianson 3 месяца назад
Yes, the protocol is good for Graves, but often, medications are still needed. The medications lower iodine absorbtion into the thyroid. The less iodine one consumes, the better the medications work and the less long they will be needed.

@@DrChristiansonGood day; i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a week ago (10th May) and i am still awaiting endo’s appointment in June. I have been told to take beta-blocker whilst waiting but I have now bought ALL of the supplements you’ve recommended and I have changed my diet to gluten free and low iodine foods. Cut out processed foods and taking lots of blueberries, oranges, avocado, cooked broccoli/cauliflower. Please confirm whether I can take all the supplements together at once please? ALSO: Do I still need to take the medicine that the doctor will prescribe? I don’t wish to but if I must then I will take them. Kindly respond

I have subclinical hypo. But I have blephritis too. It's connected. Doctor has not connected the 2. My vision is blurry and has gunk coming out of eye. Thu just tell me to wash my eyes. Smh
@MichaelThompson-jq3zf
@MichaelThompson-jq3zf Год назад
Blepharitis can be contained by simply; *bathing the eyes in clean warm water with JJ baby hair shampoo; *followed by holding a clean cloth dipped in warm water applied on the eyes for at least a minute; *Then apply over-the- counter eye drops in the eyes and apply ordinary petroleum jelly vaselene on the itchy dry eyelids. ****Simple, inexpensive and effective. Do the above twice or three times a day - it works for me. 😉

Hello Doctor..I suffer from anxiety and tension when I face a problem. My body trembles, my heartbeat increases, and I feel difficult to speak. . I tried beta-blockers and my condition improved a lot..but I suffer from bronchiectasis and phlegm, which negatively affected my health..Are there nutritional supplements or herbs that work like beta-blockers?
