This is beautiful!! I love tree braids! When living in ATL (late 90' & 2000's) I got tree braids all the time. They are protective, take less time than any other braids and blends into your own hair and looks very natural. My stylist only used 2 1/2 to 3 packs of hair. It was beautiful. Thank you for this tutorial. I hope more stylists can learn this and bring it back.
Love your comment section 🥰 all these comments are so kind and uplifting. Even the ones that don't like the style aré very considerate and give compliments. Glad to see you bringing a beautiful aura to your community 💛
MidnightHedgehog365 All smiles thanks love your comment made my day. I know I can’t please everyone but the ones I do just makes me love what I am doing even more - the negative comments don’t bother really because again I can’t please everyone but regardless of the response I keep it professional because that’s what I signed up for and plus ima lady at the end of the day especially between 9-5 lol
@@latoshastar I know that's right girl! Keep it classy keep it moving you're way too sweet to be bogged down. You just got a subscriber can't wait to see what you do next
As a student in Algeria, l had friends from Guinea Bissau who plaited this as if it was nothing. That was almost 8 years ago. I now live in a European country and have been looking for years for someone who does tree braids. When l even try to describe the braiding process, the stylists look at me as if l've lost my marbles. Or then they say that can, but lll have to pay 250 €!! Girl bye👀..
Shronda Smith Thus style use to be popular back in the day but hey you never know they might start back popping again because rite a really pretty style my opinion 😍
@@latoshastar This is a little different from TREEBRAIDING. I only used human hair, l braided in a circle or front to back. No one was doing this in LA in the 80's...l made big bucks. It was the only hair technique l did for 11 years! So much has changed. The bulk hair l got from new York was fabulous That company went out of business. Nobody wore wigs back then, or rather the younger woman. Treebraiding my me want to be a stylist, l went and got my license in the 90! 😉
@@latoshastar tht is true im 17 and doing my own micro braids ive done my own sisterlocks in the past so ik how to manage my time enough to finish in less than 5 days loland ive seen these tree braids being done before but i never knew wat it was until today so thank u for teaching me sum new
This is so much better than the crochet omg braiding the foundation took me forever and then filling in the hair with the crochet tool took me a while lol this is going to be way better and shorter installment for anyone asking for crochet braids it looks so good!!!
I've been trying to find someone who will do tree braids for years! I was always told my hair was too thick and they would recommend individuals instead... Now, I stick to crochet braids. Thank you for getting the buzz started on tree braids again - maybe I can find someone as talented as you in my area!
Mari703 I love tree braids .... I wish more females in my area wore them but hey maybe someday.... but me personally I don’t think anyone hair is to thick for tree braids .... you just might have to get them small ....
I came upon a video on tiktok and became curious. I'm like 5 years late but ill be trying this soon. I've been braiding myself since I'm 13 and "tree hair" is new to me but since you explained it so well, it motivated me ! Thank you 🙏🏾
Linda Murry human hair is longer lasting but for me the human texture is to sleek so that’s why I choose not to use it but again human hair is best for a longer lasting style
I too, used human hair. This was the only technique l did for many years in Los Angeles in the 80'-90's. Not alot of braiders knew how to do this. I made mad money!$$$ No RU-vid back then!
So beautiful! I love tree braids now. They are so pretty. That's my next hairstyle. Thank you,for the wonderful tutorial.I've been getting the two strand twist/ crochet style To cover my thinning hair/ alopecia. Tree braids, would be a great style. For me to try God bless ya'll!🙏😊❤️!
I have never did this kind of tree braiding I never braided like this I didn't even know this was called tree Brady but it's good to learn new things I always did mine like a weave.
Thank you . I swear to god I'm sick of seeing good stylist without info! If your in my city I'm booking you okay thank so so so much lord!! These other tubers are teasezers!!! Its like do they ever think a maybe someone may actually be looking for a hairstylist that's good not just good but passionate about hair and hair health, thank you so so so much and I subscribed shit lol 🥰😄
Threec Turner lol you are silly - but I was the same way watching videos and then checking the description box and not seeing really no useful information- that’s why I wanted to give my subbies some useful info from products to booking info ❤️ you are so welcome love and I think you for becoming a subscriber
That’s the perfect style I do my hair in crochet braids. I think I would try to practice on the middle of part of the back of my head or goddess box braids. I know it’d be kind of hybrid until I get the hang of it. 😂 Thanks for sharing!
Holy heck...I think I can do this . It's funny the universe knew I needed I death for my head and you ...you goddess came along in my recommendation. Thank you
Blackgirl 574321 thanks love that’s my sons foot print - I am removing it though I wanted to join the military but now reconsidering but my tattoo is almost gone 😭
Angela Clark she is.... my baby is so sweet I hope and pray she stay this way... because whew Chile when they turn in to teenagers I need extra strength lol
How do you remember to leave a piece of the extension hair out?🤔I'm doing this style for my mom, & I'm nervous bc I've never done this style b4. Is their a certain technique that you use?🤔🤗
Hi Latosha is this a very old style of braiding or new? I’m asking, I’ve never heard of tree braids. Thank you so much, that was very interesting!!!👀👍🏽🔥🔥🔥
Her hair was beautiful and age appropriate! And the explanation and demonstration of tree braids is the clearest I've heard in years. Do you have a menu of the classes you offer and their costs? I don't live in Texas but I will travel.
Love Bug All Smiles.... currently at the moment I am working on my website which will include online classes that you can purchase ( so you don’t have to travel ) I may even include a 1x FaceTime session for further help.... check me out on IG: @latosha_thestylist to keep up with my launching date for my classes and website 🥰
Well whenever you are ready to come down I will set you up with a session ❤️ contact me via email latoshathestylist and from there I will give you my phone number
HershyK21 It dose tangle but the trick for me was to install it long and once it starts getting tangled or nappy at the ends just trim that part off lol I remember when I used this hair I started with almost waist length hair and about 2 months later when taking it down I had a cute bob lol
AmaZing Wow❣️ Lotosha 😍💞 thanks for being thorough & the style is perfect for your client 💕 I watched other video by other stylist but you were much simpler in explaining & the finished product. The follow-up on your description of the hair product bonus ❤️💕😊
MrsMequaBz this style is very time consuming so you just have patience.... I say each braid takes about 5 - 7 minutes give or take -- so like for me to do two layers of tree braids this size it will take me about 3.5 hours 🤦🏽♀️ 🥰
