If you're like me, I struggled to trigger or enable Blather's speech bubble or to have him talk about Brewster. In this video, I'll show you how you can UNLOCK Brewster!

Thanks a whole lot, most people forget to mention sea creatures in the requirements for blathers to ask you to find brewster, and that cost me a day of trying everything i could do to trigger this event

Its also really important you're the Island Representative. My Nintendo used to be a family Nintendo and my sister was the Island Representative so i was very concerned why it wasn't working, she has her own Nintendo now and i have a separate account.

so, my island is 3 stars and i’ve donated bugs, fish, sea creatures, art, and fossils but he won’t talk about brewster. i’m really confuser 😅

i managed to fix the problem! i had to wait til the day after kk slider came to my island for the first time and then he started to talk to me about brewster! hope this helps :)

our island is pretty much on the endgame already, I've almost completed every single donation slots, and the island itself is on 5 star. But still absolutely nothing! Although I am using the second account... do you think that's the problem?

It could be that you are on a 2nd Account! I believe to unlock features you have to be the primary resident rep. I know you probs already have, but make sure you actually have donated things to Blathers! I know a small minority of people are having trouble for some reason. I’m sorry I can’t help more!

After you donate a sea creature do you get the option to get a painting?

To get the painting you need to have a total of 60 things donated then Isabelle will announce someone suspicious is roaming the island, thats who you want to find to buy a painting and donate it

I think a lot of people may be playing on their second user accounts or whatnot. Make sure you're the primary resident rep for your island , 3 stars, museum upgraded, etc!

If it still doesn’t work for you, skip to next day. I had to skip 3 days before it worked for me.

Don't forget you got to update the game to the 2.0 version .... you know that right Plus you can go to harvest island to buy redd there and you can get paintings more

@@wh0sl1lly I figured it out, so I had to donate a painting. To get blathers to think about Brewster I had to wait for the art exhibit to be built. After that I went in and he talked about the exhibit and I walked out and went back in, and then he was thinking about Brewster
