Cannot wait until my mustache is back in full force it's been 6 months without it. All these killer beard mustache combo's have inspired me

Thats an epic mustache ... Growing out mine for the past three months and I've been shaping it along the way to keep it separate from my beard. I must say I learned a lot from this video and now my mustache looks far better than the last time I grew. My hair and beard kind of blend in if I keep growing em without shaping regularly. So this time around, I started shaping up at an early stage. Happy with the results so far. Thanks for the video.

Out of 10 or so mustache / handlebar styling and trimming videos, this is the first one that actually talks about what makes a handlebar a handlebar. I've been taking social distancing as an opportunity to grow out my stache more than I usually do, and I've really been feeling the struggle of the absolute mess that it can make. 1.) Explaining that all-natural is even an option, and how much having wax on your person can make the style more sustainable 2.) Addressing exactly what hairs to trim in a handlebar and what hairs to leave alone-clearing our a nose-width section, and the remainder can be pulled to the sides with wax. I made a whole RU-vid playlist of guides just to find those two answers. Thanks so much for being direct for the more analytically-minded of us beardmen.

I just started growing my facial hair for no shave November. I’m looking to grow a circle beard/goatee with a handlebar mustache. Not gonna lie. I’m kinda excited to try the handlebar.

I like how you've separated your mustache from your beard, great look I think I would get caught up in trying to even up the sides of the mustache and end up with a Charlie Chaplin style mustache

@klutch14u

You really lucked out having nearly a blonde mustache and darker beard to further define that separation. Starting to grow mine out from an already pretty full mustache. From your trimming article you talk about getting started. You say not to curl the ends too soon but how do you really know when that point is? Also, do you try to define the beard/mustache separation in early stages or wait for that part as well? Seems if I do it early it might add to those awkward stages and waiting might better camouflage it.

I have grown out my mustache for months without trimming. I finally trimmed the tips today. The hairs from the centre have mostly reached the corners of my mouth already. I kinda thought that was the goal all along. Should I really comb them straight down then trimmer them as you recommend? Or is that method kind of a shortcut to growing them all the way out as I did?

Hi!How to deal with hair growing like spikes when you are letting grow your stache?i let it grow mine aprox 2 month about 1,5 cm, but i can't handle the fact that i try to style it with wax, brush and hair dryer sadly it's like shooting spikes above my lips...What can i do?what product can help me to make hair softer, easier to comb and let me style it?i mean other product besides strong wax. I am pacient and don't wanna cut my stache so i need some advices to deal with this problem while letting grow it. I will appreciate your tips and advices. Thanks and greetings from Argentina!👍😀

what about if you have a small tash that youre growing out? ive been growing mine for about 4 months now - its still small - how should i trim it to get the handlebars still going? or should I literally just let it get wild and big at the same time without any trimming maintenance?

Question.. My stache is growing well, but the center is starting to drive me crazy. I don't want a walrus, but would prefer to get the entire mustache long enough to pull it out to the sides..I noticed that you cut your hair in the center but I want to avoid that.. It's been 8 months now and I have about ,2 inch growth on the handle bars but only am inch and a half on the center hairs...I have trained it to go outward but it's just not long enough yet.. Thoughts?

Do you comb down the middle part of your mustache (nose width) or do you pull it to each side?
@livebearded

It depends! But I believe Spence uses wax and fingers to pull it to each side

How long it takes to grow a mustaches like this...?
@livebearded

Omer Hafiz I keep it trimmed but probably about 4-5 months?
@livebearded

We suggest letting your mustache grow untouched for about 3-4 months for this particular look.

I need some advice. My beard is almost identical in density and hair type as Spencer's. He has a couple months of extra growth and a larger handlebar stache. My issue is the amount of rogue hairs along the top of my stache that not only come in different colors but grow straight and i mean STRAIGHT up or out to the side. No amount of wax, training, styling, washing has ever got them to join my stache or lay flat, soooo I snip them off. While my mustache does look quite clean and groomed it's annoying to have 10-20 bits of stubble that I have to constantly maintain along the top of my stache. Am i doing the right thing?
@livebearded
@livebearded 5 лет назад
Hey bro! Sounds like you are starting to get some gray hairs in your stache, and that will definitely change the complexity of it. Usually taking some clippers and trimming the wilder, more coarse hairs down even with your stache is just a necessity of a handlebar. Spence has some more handlebar grooming tips and videos in our channel. Or you can find them all on our blog living at www.livebearded.com. Lots of great information there worthy of a look to get the best out of your stache game! Hope this helps brother, don't give up!

My partner had an all natural stache that was so long, it covered his top lip and almost hit his bottom lip! Used to ask him all the time whether he had a top lip at all. It cracked me up when he would pick up his stache to kiss me lol.

Your moustache looks much better trimmed. It’s funny that you come the centre downwardly, it’s a bit of a Hitler deal in the centre LOL, sorry. Couldn’t remember where I had seen that before. I’ve checked out old pictures from the 1900s of men’s facial hair. You can get some cool ideas. Thanks for the video you did a good job.
