Is your bidet seat leaking? Perhaps it’s dripping water from the nozzle area or off to the side of the seat. The cause could be a simple mounting issue, or it could be indicative of a more serious internal issue. Whatever the case, this video will set you on the right path to getting your issue resolved.
This guide will help you troubleshoot an electronic bidet seat that:
is dripping or leaking from the nozzle area
is dripping or leaking from the side of the seat
How to troubleshoot:
Water Dripping from Nozzle Area
If you notice water dripping from the bidet seat’s nozzle area into the bowl when it’s not in use, there could be a few causes. The most common is a simple mounting issue.
Bidet seats attach to your toilet bowl via a mounting bracket. The seat slides into this bracket and locks in place. Some bidet seats have a release button on the side of the unit that will free the seat from its bracket. This seat release button also serves a secondary purpose of draining the bidet seat of internal water.
Therefore, if your bidet seat has a seat release button, it’s imperative that it is 100% completely locked into place on the bracket. If it’s only partially locked in, the seat release / drainage button will be depressed, causing the seat to drain water from the base of the nozzle.
To troubleshoot this, let’s slide the bidet seat completely off of the bracket first. Press and hold the seat release button, and slide the bidet seat forward a few inches.
Did the dripping stop? If so, great! Looks like we found the cause. Try to slide the bidet seat back into the bracket, making sure it fully locks into place. If the back of the bidet seat hits your toilet tank, you will need to reposition the bracket a little more forward on your toilet bowl. Loosen the bolts, adjust the bracket, and then retighten.
If the dripping did not stop while the bidet seat was completely off the bracket, and the dripping continues despite the seat being fully locked into its bracket, then it may be an internal issue.
Or ,if your seat does not have a release drainage button and the seat continues to leak from the nozzle while not in use, contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
How to troubleshoot:
Water Dripping from the Side
If your bidet seat is dripping water from the side of the seat instead of the nozzle area, there are a few things you should check.
1.) Check the connections. Make sure the water supply hose is properly threaded onto the inlet with the rubber o-ring pressed against it. When tightened, the hose should not be able to rotate.
2.) Check the drain plug. Some bidet seats have a drain plug on the underside. Make sure the drain plug is fully tightened and sealed.
3.) Check the position of the nozzle port. If the bidet seat is mounted too far back, part of the nozzle port may be positioned on top of the bowl, as opposed to fully inside of it. If part of the nozzle port is on top of the bowl, water will leak onto the bowl surface and drip over the side of the toilet during a wash.
If you’ve checked these items and still find water leaking from the side of the seat, then it may be an internal issue.
Please contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

Found that my seat had shifted back over time causing it to leak under it down the side. Moved the mount Forward and retightened it no more issues.

The screws on mine came a little loose so the seat would.move ever so slightly. Tightened back down, and all fixed, no more nozzle leaks or lack of pressure.

@ 2:26, the drain plug, you're saying make sure it's fully tightened and sealed but the video shows it being turned to the open position? Am i seeing that right? I'm dealing with leaking from the side of the sear right now for 2 hours so far (leaking only when it's running)... been troubleshooting for hours before I found out about this in your video. Hoping turning it one way or the other, will help fix my issue.. Edit** this didn't fix my issue, but thanks anyway! I think i'm returning this thing to Costco.

FYI I have a Brondell Swash 1000 that was continuously leaking from beside the nozzles. I did not locate a release valve to adjust the seat; however when I tightened the nuts holding the seat on the toilet, it appears to have fixed the problem.

I have the same issue. Where are the nuts holding the seat? (Plumber did this for me, and I'm not happy with how it works, leaking constantly)

My bidet is NOT spraying anymore. I turn the knob and nothing happens. I can feel water vibrating in the tube when I flush but it will not spray. Any advice on how to fix that?
