This is a Beautyrest electric blanket that I’m working on. They should all be similar in the way they work. Always unplug all electrical components before working and testing them. Sometimes it’s easier and cheaper to buy a new electric blanket. Stay safe!

My DVM is reading "OL" on one of the fuses. My model is very similar to yours (a little bit newer) and has inline ceramic fuses (not glass like yours). Probably not worth replacing that fuse?

Do you ever strip all the wiring out of a blanket after it doesn't work anymore and use it for other things like tying up bundles? I was wondering if it's safe and not have any bad parts like asbestos. Anyone?

You do realize that a fair amount of lead free solder contains some percentage of silver, right?
