With all boats and even automobiles it's important to check for proper voltage to ensure your engines are operating at their full capacity with proper voltage. A step by step instructions that you can follow to help your boat or automobile. Always start at your battery to check voltage and for a good ground first. Great video! I have this same issue. I have already cleaned all the wiring in the icm but didn't clean the bolts. I'm going to try that next. Wish me luck 🤞

man what a great video! im having a problem with mercruiser 3.0 bayliner. once im in the water running the boat, it completely turns off and i have no spark at the coil and my coil is hot then once it cools down it starts right back up again. i just saw my RPM gauge is stuck at 800 Rpm and i noticed my volt meter says its 10v while starting and 11-12 volts running. im definitely going to sand all my connections!

@@alltorque415 check all your connections on your engine and check your grounds that are bolted to the block as well. Check your power supply wire for your ignition usually attached to your starter along with the battery supply. I had a 3.0 several years ago that would run fine than die, It was the wire at the starter. Hope this helps. Once you get proper voltage this could be your ignition module going bad causing it to die once it warms up. Thanks for watching!!!

@@jeepmanking3577 thanks for the help!!!! im sanding every single connection right now as we speak lol, all the connections i have sanded definitely needed cleaning. then when i was cleaning the cables on the alternator, i checked the tension on the belt and it was so loose i can spin the alternator pulley with my fingers with ease. thats for sure would not give me the proper voltage if the alternator isnt spinning
