Instead of saying "You don't have to trust", you can say "Accept uncertainty." We will never truly know if our partner loves us no matter what they say or do, but we can find peace when we accept uncertainty.

The mistake I made was that I was happy before I met this person,then sacrificed my own happiness for their happiness.Then they cheated. You give people too much power over you, and they will take advantage because they will no longer value your worth. Don't give away your happiness!

Finally someone that actually understands what goes through my head and knows what will actually help me.

I caught my gf a while texting another guy and it was my best friend! I left her and after millions of calls and texts from her for a month, I eventually went back with her. Now my anxiety is always kicking in thinking if she is doing it again. She would somtimes cry in my arms saying she is sorry for what she did but I dont know what to think anymore.

Yea, the idea of you thinking that happiness is dependent on a person you love/like really makes an impact. Like back in February 2014 this feeling was at its strongest and i was so "depressed" that i was suicidal. And over time the feeling faded and i'm feeling alot more peaceful and alot more motivated. This thought is a really hard one to tackle but once you overcome it, your free just like me.

I agree with the premise of this video... that as soon as we look to other people for value we become unhappy. And we can't fix their sadness or insecurities. I believe if we are satisfied in God before we enter a relationship we won't have to focus so strongly on the ways another person lets us down.

I agree with the stuff that he said 100% but the question is, what are you supposed to do when you love someone and want to make it work with them but some things happened that makes you doubt the success of the relationship? I understand that your happiness shouldn't depend on another person but if you desire to be with a person who has tainted your trust, what do you do?

. Feelings, Thoughts, and reality are three different things. Reality is the stand point, thoughts are side track, and feelings are the mainland. Your feelings is what draws you to love a person or feel some type of way, your thoughts is what allow you to have all these side panels of ups and downs, reality is what is showing the out come of where you can stand at any point in time. At the end of it all its feelings that really matter. Not Thoughts vs Reality. It's Feelings Vs Thoughts and Reality. Knowing the difference between those three words will help you in the long run.

I just wanted to say thank you. I was heart broken and didn't believe I was someone that I wanted to me, but because of you and your beautiful explanations I believe that I am happy with who I am even though others dont love me. I am grateful and appreciate you posting these videos.

Thank you so much for this video Noah. I somehow stumbled upon this video and I feel like it's as if theres someone or some being out there who wanted me to see this video to help with my anxiety. Ever since I lost trust in my boyfriend it has been so hard to cope that I had to go to the doctor and urgent care due to anxiety and obsessive thinking. I was scared of losing him. I was scared that I wouldn't be happy. I was scared that he would lie to me again. All those thoughts were going through my head and giving me anxiety attacks, but after watching this video it definitely clicked for me. It's not about trusting him again or knowing that he wont leave/cheat in the future, but it really is about me and my self-worth. You are right, even if somewhere along the way he decides to stop loving me, it doesn't mean that I've lost my happiness. It just simply means that it's time for me to find another path of happiness. I've been trying so hard to trust him again, but thoughts of him doing things behind my back kept coming up and thats when I would get anxiety of losing him. This video has made me realize that even if I do lose him again in the future, it doesn't mean that thats the end of my happiness. It just means that I, as a human being, was not a good fit for him to make him happy in the end, but that doesn't mean that I'm not worthy. I just simply didn't fit the job that he needed and it was time for him to find someone else who would be able to fill that position. And if this happens whenever in the future, I will definitely be able to look back at this video and say how thankful I am to you to help me realize this. I've been trying to build that fantasy of how perfect we were before again, but it's not about being happy in that fantasy WITH him, its about being happy with MYSELF whether or not he stays or leave in the future.

If you decide to give another chance to your partner you better forget everything in the past because if you keep on bringing past mistakes then there's a chance that the relationship will fall apart. It's just a matter of choice whether to give love a chance or drop the relationship because you think it's not worth fighting for.

LDR is hard really hard he did something behind my back and now I'm trying to trust him again

He cheated several times in our long distance relationship for the past 7 years. He now says he's a changed man. I hardly believe him, but I love him with all my heart. The trust has all gone still the love won't go. I know my happiness doesn't solely depend on him, but I just can't stop expecting him to love me the way I love him. I get over-anxious about him.

While one might understand a concept intellectually, they might not be able to apply it. Because you are suggesting a major change in one's worldview, that is certainly easier said than done! The mental constructs are quite hard-wired into the brain, how does one attempt to change them.

Im working on building my relationship back up with my wife who had an affair. She wants to make it work but im finding it hard to trust her. When I see her look at her phone or come home late from work in the past I never for a second thought anything negative, now my mind instantly rushes tro 'what is she doing'?
