Thanks for the video. I have a 23 inch scale octave mandolin. I have put octave strings on the G and D courses, But it still hard to get around on. I assume I might try G 45/22 and 35/16 Mine sounds fine, but I can not get the gauge and action down to a comfortable level in order to play fiddle tunes. Any further advice?
