I started watching and I instantly thought I know that voice, I think I listened to your podcast ep with Dan Giffin yesterday lol I've been using "Adobe Audition" software from 2004, since about 2004.... I've now started using Ableton FINALLY and I'm loving it! Just trying to learn all the things..... oh so many things.... *including music theory.... I will not give up. Melodyne looks fabulous!!! and I just subscribed =)

I recorded a vocal track, added all the effect I want (reverb, EQ ...etc) then I added to the track melodyne and corrected the whole vocal... but the audio effects don't work with melodyne on the same track... I thought maybe it has to do with where i was dropping the melodyne plug in so I moved it to before the audio effects but it was terrible sounds... so overall ... the effects don't work if melodyne after... and sounds terrible if melodyne before... any suggestion?

I can't imagine why putting the effects after the corrected audio would have that problem.

So do you consolidate after tuning, or just keep it as it is?

You will probably want to add effects to a vocal, like reverb and compression. The pitch correction with Melodyne is merely a step in the chain. BTW, Melodyne makes editing pitch modulation within a note and time correction a breeze. The changes you make in Melodyne are preserved in Ableton and saved when exporting the file.

i can hear changes only when i play the audio in the plugin. when i play it in ableton its sounds the same. anyone knows how to fix it ?

You need to print it back onto a track somehow. Export/import, freeze/flatten, resample, etc.

I knew it was in those type of keys because your vocal didn't really have a melody and vocals that doesn't have adapting are ideally in c minor and c major type of keys and also d minor
