Pitch Correction only Using Ableton Live

Seed To Stage

In this video we correct the pitch of a bad vocal take using only Ableton Live: no autotune needed. By simply using Ableton's great "warp modes" and the "tuner" devices we can create convincing pitch corrections that are arguably better than the results one can get from expensive vsts like Autotune or Melodyne. Save your money and use your ears!

Tip for anyone looking for the detune and transpose in Ableton 11.1 - They combined it into the Pitch knob - so transpose is tiny box on the left and detune is tiny box on the right side under the pitch knob. Hope this helps. Great vid thank you! This should help my shitty pitch get better hopefully xD

If you think its hard to see which notes you're hitting with tuner (due to it jumping all over the place), toggle the graph mode instead so everything is drawn out over a time graph instead :)

Thank you so much for this video. Usually I'm ok with re-recording small sections if they're flat or sharp, but it sucks when you have an otherwise great sounding but long take and just one little tiny part of it sounds like absolute 💩. Now I can keep the whole thing and do minor surgery without sounding like a robot with auto tune 👍🏼

Thank you, great video, much clearer than anything else I've found. I wondered whether you've tried other methods since you made this video? I'm working with a track that has some 'non-standard' vocals, lots of slides and subtle tunings. Wondering whether there are any ways to adjust pitch in a more gradual/sliding way rather than by steps. And also interested in whether this process can be done using physical knobs/hardware & if there's benefit to doing so. Thanks.
