Watching all these LS Turbo videos is making me want to just buy a beater for $1000-$2000 and then boosting the hell out of it. Who cares if the engine goes, can find them in the junkyard
I'm very impatient myself. And enjoy going hands on to. This was the best verbal and visual walk through I have seen nice job and video. Very informative.
Very informative, great video! Nice to see a common guy like myself explaining things the way I understand them and not talking in a way that is too technical like all these other channels!
I know exactly how that shit goes... I could never afford to take vehicles to the shop...I had to learn how to fix my own vehicles... It's crazy how much shops charge for even brake replacement
Man bro good shit I have the n 02 and I wanna do the same but it's got 256k on the miles n I wanted to change the cam n valve train but after seeing this I wanna do it now lol
Just threw a sloppy stage 2 in my truck, and have the turbo mounted, just gotta piece the piping and little things together now, thanks for video, it’s give me a reference or an idea on what to do
Nice vid! You helped me decide between supercharging vs turbo. I use my truck for offroad but seeing that crossover pipe that low is no bueno and I don't see any way around it. Good job on the vid though. I watched the whole thing. Liked and subscribed. I had 3 and 4 go out on mine as well from towing. Mine never had a factory transmission cooler. After rebuild it does now.
I'm going to try flipping the manifolds and try doing the crossover up front to prevent the low hanging crossover. After I get trans sorted going to start piecing together turbo kit. And may post vids
Definitely could use your help doing an LS swap to 89 Cadillac brougham think the next step for both adorable superchargers it is just really expensive and the ease of adjustment is not the same
Love this video sir! Thanks for making and new sub here. Have you had any issues with the reliability of the system? ps. please secure that air filter ;)
Hell yeah! Cool vehicle. You from the south? Sound like a lot of people down here. lol. (Edit, you said you were in maine. I nailed it! lol) Good to see a video where a regular guy really goes through it. How's it going a few years later?
@@E-bikeguy Good deal man! Thank you so much, I've been piling up parts to boost my 3/4 ton burban, that was a serious concern of mine with the crossover section and the blow off valve. I appreciate the answers!
I may have missed it, but i didnt hear you say which turbo manifold you used for passenger side and which one for drivers or was it just the generic amazon ones? can you post a link kind sir?
This is some good ..ish bro…I have 2007 Tahoe my 3rd and 4th gear is done about to replace and do an afm delete..then I’m going to do the same thing including a mild cam…but I saw the links below..but what turbo??…is it a t45 turbo on eBay??..cause I been lookin at them.
Have a 2005Tahoe going on 300 K already have a rebuilt one for it but I have been thinking for awhile about a cheap way to supercharge it have some fun with the old one.
What did you do to the brakes, i installed a nbs master cilinder with the kelsey hayes abs but my brakes just suck, discs/pads, drums are all new, bleeded everything but still suck
Comments were turned off for your axum videos so I'm posting here. I noticed you had to weld the brakes for the 3000w hub and not for the 5000w hub. Any reason why? I'm thinking of using the axum as an ebike frame, but I don't know how to weld. Thanks!
The 3000w hub motor had a 9 speed freewheel so I had to space out the frame on the brake side or the tire will rub on the frame, the 5000w motor have a 6 speed freewheel and a 10mm offset where the disk bolt up to so it was closer to the frame so I just can mount the caliper to the original mount
@@E-bikeguy so of I have a 7 speed it will probably go right in? Really appreciate the response. I'd hate to order a bike and not be able to use it. Hiw do you like the 3k vs 5k.
@@hank_Reardon well the 5000w definitely has more torque but not by much try to keep the bike as lite as possible and it will fly 3000w or 5000w, get a good controller too that will help alot. What motor you plan on using?
@@E-bikeguy I already have a 2k motor from nbpower, but use a 52v battery. The triangle on the other bike is too small for a 72v battery which is what I'd like.
That's pretty good. I was always trying to justify adding a turbo (6.2 Yukon) and it making sense. So added HP, pull, hopefully better mpgs for long drives, is enough for me. I would love to add a STS remote mount kit but I love your version.
Hey bud I know your video was 2 years ago but I went looking for those videos you said you had of driving it around a little . Did you takr them videos down or something ? Would love to see them . I had /have an 04 Denali I 78mm turboed way back , have a few videos posted of it ...Let me now if you could about your vids... thanks
@@E-bikeguy that’s very impressive. I have a whipple on my 05 and didn’t even make nearly that much to the wheels. Just shows the capabilities of a free flowing turbo
@@E-bikeguy I'm on this trip of having a 6.2 getting way better mpg if I add a turbo (maybe remote kit). I would basically be turboing that burgundy hauler you have (twins but a midget lol). I saw STS Turbos make a Vette get Instant avg 42 mpg and been geeked ever since.
@E-bikeguy I'm sure where you are you are ok but here in Tampa traffic and record heat. I think my 8.1 would not like the extra heat. But a remote , hmmmm
@@E-bikeguy are you close to the Orlando area I used to live there.. But I now reside in Mississippi but getting my vehicle to you will not be a problem
Why didnt they just cut the wastegate flange cut out instead of welding that hole lol guys are funny .. but kgood work doing it all yourself man Is it still running today?
love to hear it. i feel like i would be a little out of my lane doing making a build like this but im so tempted to give myself 1000 headaches and try to make one@@E-bikeguy
