In this video, I'll show you how easy it is to turn a MacBook Pro or MacBook into a Chromebook running Chome OS Flex. You can do it temporarily, or permanently. I'll also discuss some of the reasons you might want to!

I don't know what setup most people have, but my MacBook Air 2011 works still fine. Only thing I did upgrade was the SSD. It worked fine with MacOS High Sierra, but I decided to try Catalina (patched install) and it still works fine, only an increase of CPU load and decrease of battery time. I haven't seen degrade of performance or speed. The only issue I'm trying to figure out is some issue with WebGL / OpenGL (Catalina is supposed to use Metal graphics API and newer GPU)

I like chromOS flex and the concept too 👍🏻 However, at the end, I have turned my old MacBook pro to Ubuntu and it shines like a diamond ✨

I have the same macbook and the chrome operating system. but I can't write "@" and I don't know how to copy something or download pictures because I'm missing this right mouse button option. What do I have to do?

First and foremost thanks for your tips 💐. I’ve just installed Flex on a Mac Mini from 2014 and it seems to function well enough, but I haven’t found how to automatically boot to Chrome OS. Now I have to press the Option Key during the startup sequence and then choose the right drive, which is strange since the installation should wipe everything else. Any thoughts?

I shoot everything in 4K with a 4K camera. But when I zoom into a screen to make it easier to read, it reduces the resolution. Sorry. But thanks for watching!

Yes. I'm using it on a 2012 Macbook Pro and it's much faster than Catalina was for me. The only issue I've seen is no support for keyboard lighting.

Just did this with an old Mac from work to save it. Only trouble is that it isn't able to run google play store. It will work until I switch it to linux anyway.

the smaller number on speedometer, then faster browser.; the faster (I know) is Tor.

You can always use the internet recovery, or a usb drive to reinstall macOS. I have videos on both of those on this channel.

I am trying to de-googlize my customers, and now this. Why? If you don't want to use Mac OS, there are so many great Linux distro that will easily do a better job than anything google. I appreciate that it can be done though.
