Sam's insight on "being a user to become a great creator" is spot on. Entrepreneurs should note that it's that blend of empathy and strategy that often marks the difference between a struggling startup and a thriving business.

100%! Loved his input how to get started making money online as well. Get a job to relief the stress and then go all in on the business once it's. working :)

Anyone trying to do anything truly ambitious, they don’t know if they can do it or not. That’s part of the fun

That part about there being no entrepreneur interviews back then and too much these days makes a lot of sense. We are so extremely spoiled in choice that we can just listen to an interview and move on to the next. When instead we should just listen to a couple at best, apply all of the lessons and only then move on to the next. Since Hormozi also shared that insight (read ten books, nothing happened so I will just focus on one) I am trying to not listen to too many interviews.

The goat group is a holistic space to learn about holisticly caring for homestead goats 🤪 I know of her through another friend in a crunchy group I’m part of on Marco Polo. I didn’t want to start my ish on Marco Polo because many get stage fright recording themselves, and you can’t search etc… I’m glad I found skool at just the right time!

Maaan this passion subject is especially tricky for young people in our age of dopamine where we misconstrue dopamine rush activities as passions but then find out it doesn't give dopamine rush so we keep quitting it because it's not giving dopamine rush thinking we didn't pick our passion niche. Took me quite some time to differentiate the two and take notes

Great insights on this interview, I would just want to go deeper about how you find the market that you want to serve. I think it has to do more with what do you know/ have access to rather than what you are passionate about. I am passionate about boats ( I know cause since I was a kid I used to stare at boat images for hours on the internet) but I don’t have a boat (I only rented once or twice) and I don’t know anything on what it t means to operate a boat as a business. Does it mean I should start a skool community anyway and figure it out as I am going or use the skills I already have (bartending/ cocktail making for over 12 years) and create a skool in cocktail’s niche?😅

It's misleading when people say, start a business that you are passionate about. No, wrong. Start a business by solving real problems.

##Summary Generated By AI This video is an interview with Sam Ovens about how he turned his passion into a million-dollar business. Sam Ovens started his entrepreneurial journey because he hated his corporate job. He then learned about entrepreneurship and realized that the skills he had from his hobbies could be applied to building a business. This is when he decided to quit his corporate job and focus on building a business full-time. Initially, Sam struggled to find a business idea that was both profitable and something he was passionate about. He made several attempts at different businesses before he eventually found success with a course creation company. Here are some of the key takeaways from the interview: * It is important to find a business idea that you are passionate about. This will help you stay motivated when things get tough. * You don't need to have all the answers before you start a business. You can learn as you go. * It is important to be willing to take risks and experiment. * Be patient. It takes time to build a successful business. * Don't be afraid to cut costs and live below your means while you are getting your business off the ground.
