Thank you so much - this has been baffling me when I look at my reports, and this is one of the only videos on this topic. Your explanation was really helpful!
Thats what a winner does drop... they don't get defeated, they get determined... with most people getting discouraged right away, all you have to do is be tougher than them, and you can make all the money you want.
Hey there. I have 70% of other search terms in my report... I do use Phrase Match and have a ton of negative keywords added in a list. 14:26 With your example of "big red shoes" why don't you just add the negative keyword "big", you seem to exclude all terms with "big" inside. Thanks
For the "big red shoes" example, Adding "big" as a negative keyword by itself helps, but it's not a 100% guarantee it will always block everything with big in it from now on... it also helps to add all the other search terms you see with the word "big" in it as a negative keyword as well... If you add 10+ negative keywords with the word "big" in it, Google's system finally realizes then that you don't want anything anymore with the word "big" in it all together. This by itself is even more effective than using "big" as a broach match negative keyword by itself, even though I will always do that too.
Yes, but more than that, they're also relying on all previous behavior of a user before making their search to decide if your ad should show up for them or not, not just what the user is searching itself. To some degree this is how the other match types work as well, but broad match relies on previous user behavior to decide what ads show up for them the most.
