You sir, saved me $150 USD or a AAA call. I owned a 2003 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Flat bed, and it worked! i am amazed, thank you so much and glad you are able to help out by providing this life hacks! 👍🏻
Thanks Guy...husband locked his keys in his work truck...clicked on your video 1st and thats all it took...he had a pry bar and a 1/2" x 1/2" x 4' stuck took him less than a minute once he got the stick in! Most Awesome!
100 thumbs up I saw this at midnight before work the next morning and I didn’t use the same things I just had two thin wood boards but it still worked thanks so much
Thank you so much. I tried all the other tricks but couldn't think of something to use to be successful at this. I didn't have a yard stick so I used a piece of aluminum from a mobile home window.
Hey everyone. I just wanted to say that I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad that this really worked out for some of you. Sorry for the video being a little bit long, as you've probably seen by my channel I have not uploaded a video before and I just wanted to cover everything that I thought was necessary. I pretty much shot this right after I discovered that you can do this,, so I didn't really plan a script or anything.. I just did it. Anyway, I hope everyone continues to do well. Next time don't forget your car/truck keys! Lol
Dude don't say sorry. #1 there's a lot of people that don't know ANYTHING about cars that need all the steps explained in detail. #2 the ones that know about cars don't know how to forward threw a video? #3 what dumbass locks their keys in their truck then bitches about a 7 minute video showing how to unlock it? Call a tow truck and wait 2 hours if that's the case. Thanks man. Good video
@@kermanjake bro.. I been trying to get in to my truck like i have all the time in the world N is 530 now I have to get st redy for Tonight¡ NEW YEAR 2020!!!!! But I wanted to pay a thank you for explaining and sharing the video I'm going to make 1 and said name you in it as a thanks
Hey boss i wanted to tell you thanks for the video. I locked my keys in my 2000 Chevy Silverado and it was also running while being locked out. but man i found this video and it worked great 👍and helped me get right in. Thanks
take that metal bar and with one quick jab, the window moves completely out of the way so that you can simply reach in and unlock the door... a better way is those little metal boxes with a magnate on them. put a spare key on the frame somewhere.
NOW I'M NO CERTIFIED MECHANIC ... BUT LETS SAY THAT WE UNLOCK THE VEHICLE AS PER YOUR INSTRUCTIONS, DOING EVERYTHIHNG BACKWARDS AS YOU SAY TO REMOVE YOUR TOY OLS SHOULD JUST BE FREE BY SIMPLY OPENING THE DOOR.... THANKS FOR THE POINTERS... I GOT MINE UNLOCKED LIKE THAT
Thank you , I have an 03 Avalanche that someone tried to break into and they knocked out my pass lock. Then my driver's side handle broke from the outside. See my dilemma, needless to say if my truck gets locked I can't get it . But thanks to your video , I got in but I uses a old fishing pole to hit the button 😅
I like the back seat wing window thing....if ever I again lock myself out again...which is lucky dog seldom...i am going to check which direction the unlock slider lever actually unlocks the doors. I carry a lot of sometimes on purpose and always random useful not junk..but I have never held a thick wooden yardstick and a steel post in my hands at the same time. ..ever.
Awesome trick man I’ve only seen 1 other video mention this way to get in. All those Ford dummies can just pop it with a slim Jim, now that’s real secure hey pffff. This will work on most if not any GMC/Chevy even back in the 98/99 model all the way through 04-5 maybe even earlier and later. I’ve opened a 98 gmc this way and I know it would work on my buddies 04 Chevy
Okay... I really liked this video as I’m locked out of my step side. But wouldn’t it be a LOT easier to leave the T-post (that’s the green metal thing) and the yard stick in the door? You can just snatch them both out when you open your door AND it causes less potential damage to your truck. 😁 I’ll let you know if either of these work for me. Thanks again!!!
Best tip we ever learned about our 99 Tahoe when we were locked out at the casino was from a cool cop. Any Chevy key, before they were chipped in later years, will unlock any Chevy vehicle. They will not start it but they will do everything else. Neighbor had an old Chevy key laying around tonight and opened right up. Never ceases to amaze me.
Man Thank You yesterday I left my key inside my GMC Jimmy and locked it with them and I used your method but different tools and it worked for me I saved some money 😀 Thumbs 👍🏽
This is me, 1:00 am at college, hours away from home. Almost the weekend, i tried to unlock my 2005 Chevy 1500 with screw driver prying door open while pressing unlock button with long metal rod... it doesn’t work for some reason but I can press the lock side and the bitch will lock lmao oh well, watch your video, walk back to Walmart to buy bigger pry bar and bam when I come back I unlocked it so easily I didn’t even realize I unlock it and kept ramming the lock Button, thanks for The help man
Worked great.. Just don't try to push the electric unlock button or you will push right through it.. My dad didn't listen to me and now I have to replace it.. Smh. Stubborn man not listening to me because I am a girl 😒
Samantha Shants yeah, sorry that happened to you. Whatever way you are using to break into your vehicle, and always carries that risk of additional damage
great video already stole 3 trucks this week ha ha ha, joking as soon as i hit the power locks it set my alarm off and my neighbors called the cops thanks lol
Here's my save my ass safety plan to unlock any keyed lock anywhere. I tape the key to the inside of something....belt.. wallet.. purse or pocketbook or under your lucky static object...like inside a mailbox...keyed or honor system type... I have never trusted the magnetic key caddie on a truck. But...NEVER store your HOUSE key with YOUR vehicle spare...in case you lose your portable key hiding place by theft or carelessness. You usually keep your ID with your current address there. So never hide them together. OR follow this man's plan and don't over torque your door... And keep America great
there is something very wrong with this situation.... why isnt the top of your cab all rusted out? chevy white paint and clear coat if the worst on these vehicles. there should be a class action lawsuit against them...
