That doorknob has a hole in the center, specifically to allow you to open it if you get locked out. Just unfold a paper clip so it becomes a small metal rod, and insert it into that hole. You'll feel another metal rod inside - push on the end of the internal rod until you hear the mechanism click and poof, the door is unlocked.

Most locks have a special shaft in them that prevent this but if they are shimmed wrong it still works

A section of plastic roughly 6x9" cut from a gallon milk or water jug works much better for this purpose

that kind of lock can also be hacked using the ink tube of a pen and putting it in the little hole. near the back of the hole there is a button like thing that use press and turn the knob at the same time. this doesn't work on KEYHOLE! locks
