hey man could you maybe help me ive been trying to boardslide for a long time but my backfoot just always comes off. is there something i can do to break this habit?
Biggest thing if your having trouble staying commited, is getting comfortable. Try and practice on a curb that will let you slide or a really short rail. Eliminating the fear by choosing something smaller and if you can find a curb like that you will get used to the feeling of sliding. Are you rolling up frontside or backside?
Learned bs boardslides on ledges when I was a kid because I didn’t have access to a flat bar. It’s probably the only slide I have every try, and can hold them for really long. Unfortunately I also feel like it’s one least cool tricks ever 😂. I agree with everything you said except for the front foot pressure aspect tho because you can’t be putting too much weight on the ledge side or else you’ll stick. Gotta stay light footed like you’re the last one getting into a crowded elevator lol.
any tips for/ commiting to 5050 on round rails... i absolutely know i can do it if i full commited to like 10 tries but i just cant commit lmfaoo. the slip outs and fucked up lock ins ive already experienced from full commits are so scary/painful
If you have a rail that you can move around one thing I used to do is put my rail over grass or something. If you can practice a good cross lock that will make things feel super stable!
