In this video I'll show you how to unlock the carriage on most of the Epson Printers without turning the printer on. This procedure has multiple uses such as the one I said in the video.
The process is very simple.

The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ru-vid.comUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

Thank you very much for such a comprehensive explanation. The instructions that came with my printer did not explain this part and it was impossible to insert the cartridges as there was a piece covering the area where the cartridges go.

Thank you very much for this tutorial. I am working with an Epson ET-7700. Have you, or any of your friends worked with this model? I need to access the ink pad under the carriage/printhead, and also wipe off black ink on the rail where the carriage rests. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Ciao! Dipende quanto spesso, e qual'è la grammatura, comunque sicuramente una stampante con alimentazione manuale posteriore e NON una con cassetto carta sul fondo o caricamento frontale.

Hi Eric, usually that is a blown SMD fuse on the mainboard, BCH I think have done a video on that, remove the main PCB and check every fuse with a multimeter, replace them with the same rating of fuse if blown. Consider that if the fuse blew there is probably a reason for it, did the error came after you've done something, or it occurred casually?

Hi thanks. My Code came after cleaning. So maybe replace the fuse? But maybe the fuse will blow again because something else is blown.? Thanks.

@@ericthomas9551 Almost certainly some cleaning solution went on the side of the printhead, onto the flat cable. That's a common "mistake" unfortunately, probably a spill or something. In that case you'd have to replace the printhead and the flat cable that connects to the main pcb too :/
