Installing Windows 10 then upgrading to 11 using your method actually works! There are tons of videos out there that promote “free software” to directly install Windows 11 on a Mac, but none of them worked for me.

Came here after an advisor at Apple Support told me their internal docs state an upgrade in this type of manner as the "official" solution for me wanting Windows 11 installed with BootCamp. Stupidly tedious but it works, thank you for creating the video

Worked flawlessly. Upgraded from a activated windows 10 pro bootcamp install to 11 pro. MacBook Pro 16” i9. Thank you so much for this. By the way, I feel no performance issues what so ever. Gives me the same benchmarks scores as Windows 10 so don’t know why you warn about performance issues.

EDIT: one of the windows updates fixed the issue. Anyone else have their touchbar stop working? It's all just dimmed icons and doesn't work when tapped. Install worked beautifully though - thank you!

Awesome thanks. Just one quick question the media creation mst folder I downloaded just contain a file called no_11_setup_checks_on_dynamic_update. Is this the same as the one skip tpm?

Followed this and upgraded my bootcamp to Win11 pro. It gets all of the Win11 updates and seems to work correctly. I think Win10 works a bit better. When I benchmark, I see similar scores from 10 to 11, but I see some graphics slow downs in 11 that I didn't see in 10. Overall it is a solid upgrade.

Great video! Very easy to follow. I haven't tried it yet as I want to confirm something. After installing Win11, you can still go back to MacOS via the Bootcamp menu in the taskbar menu on the bottom right, correct? I'm not seeing the icon on your task bar so I just want to make sure.

I download the english windows 11 installer ISO from Microsoft and when I first run it it says install Windows 11. Then after the GitHub media creation tool when I launch the same installer it says installing Windows Server. I think something has changed since this video.

I followed your instructions and I'm still getting denied by the Win 11 setup. It's saying there are three issues: 1) The processor isn't supported for this version of windows 2) The PC must support TPM 2.0 and 3) The PC must support Secure Boot I'm using Boot Camp for what it's worth. Will I be able to upgrade?

Bro I used this method and I installed windows 11 pro successfully on my mac. Everything is working perfectly as it was on windows 10 except for the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth is not showing in the settings which was earlier working on windows 10. Please help!!

Is there any risk doing this because I had apparently done the windows iso modification and when I did that my iMac wasn't connected to any type of keyboard nor a mouse. also, do I need a wired keyboard because sometimes we need to press a key and then continue?

Yes. A usb keyboard and mouse since Bluetooth will not be enabled during the installation

It is not a virus. Windows defender warns you because it makes changes on your pc by removing the tpm 2.0 check. That is why defender flags it.

When you get to the first install screen click more info then unselect download for drivers and support software. I just spent a few hours figuring that out

Yep it works. Windows 11 is just windows 10 but better looking. It uses the same drivers. You can do this to a 2007 MacBook for example while using windows 7 bootcamp drivers. Just like windows 8 or 10

Actually, I think it was because I was running Windows 10 Enterprise and now it’s saying it will Upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise. So maybe it’s okay. Just weird it’s saying “Installing Windows Server”.

If I install in this way over my window 10 on Mac, will I lose any files that are already there or will it be only a clean install removing all files? Also, after installing in this way, will I get windows 11 updates automatically?

You would need to use Boot Camp, to retain both Mac OSX and to have Windows 10 on the same machine. It creates a secondary Boot Partition on your Mac to run Windows; this means you retain your Mac OS and the files associated with it. If you force Windows 11 to be installed on the Mac OS without Bootcamp, then you will overwrite and format all existing files, your files will be lost to the forced installation. Learn how Bootcamp works on Mac OS X.

@@ProsenjeetDasgupta this method in the video teaches you how to upgrade the existing installation. It should not reformat the previous installation within Bootcamp, if you install the ISO as per what the video is showing. Whether it make the installation genuine or not due to the lack of TPM 2.0, then that is the only question left.
