The DreamSnaps challenge is for clothes only, and I thought it counted furniture as well. Here I am going mad as I add more wondrous items and the picture still not going through. 🤣
For the submission count the clothes only but for voting... We will vote for the best picture so the aesthetic of the place we took the photo count as well.

@@Probably_Senpai Sorry I want just to tell that it's like the real photo shoot, even when just one thing count for the game score other stuff count just for the aesthetic, I mean, it's fun that's so close to a real artistic photo contest. For now, except for the customized items (I have to temporary remove some rugs because the game can "see" it even if I was shooting at the plaza and they were on the beach 😭) I really like how it works. I hope in the future they fix the thing that's make someone's game crash when they open the camera in a place with customised items, so they can allow us to decorate the valley with customised items, because for now I can't shoot in my favourite areas of the valley because I used so much customised rugs as paths. Or I'll do the DreamSnaps inside a house instead outside, but I'm so proud about my valley that I hope I can shoot outside for DreamSnaps in the future.
@AndreaLunaXD There's a good chance you'll be able to do so in the future. The devs stated that "touch of magic" furniture/clothing is not allowed "at this time," which insinuates that it will be allowed later! I'm sure the dev team is just looking for a way to make it safe for everyone.

Glad it was helpful! Unfortunately, the same thing applies for cloud saving on PS. You can only load cloud saves from on Playstation to another. This is due to Sony's method of handling online content. I really hope they get with the times!

This is very reminiscent of Nikki Dress Up Queen! I'm so excited just to be able to deco my valley with actual themes from the snaps and to earn moonstones! The placing is meh to me, but I'm hapoy they're putting this in 🎉

Amazing video! I'm loving the dream snaps so much, it's so cute and fun and a way to, dare I say flex our creativity lol. It's just soo much fun and being able to vote this is just amazing! Also Vanellope glitching everywhere lol and giving us a sneak peek into the future multiplayer gameplay! This game has so much future potential to add to its already uniqueness. It's all VERY exciting! My favorite thing to do in DLV is design and decorate, so I'm extremely happy with the new feature. I'm really stoked for next Wednesday when we get to vote! Hey Senpai! Thanks for making this video! I was trying to do Vanelope’s task on Wednesday and hour after launch and could not figure it out! It turns out that my issue was the clothing/furniture issue! I also did not see the new buttons after taking a photos to ‘show dreamsnaps’ 13:05 ! This video was extremely helpful and I can’t wait to upload decent pictures with your help!

I was worried when it said playstation would only be with playstation that I wouldn't be able to complete with the entire community lowering my chances to get the larger prizes but the idea of having smaller "groups" to vote in and each group having top winners makes a lot of sense. Hope this is how the voting mechanic works.... Knowing we won't get voting officially until next week
Well, I wasn't exactly saying each group would have separate winners! Rather, players will be voting for "groups" of submissions that show up for them. The voting seems to be done in pairs. For example, you will choose between submission A and submission B. Then you'll be shown another 2 photos and repeat the process until you're finished voting. It seems there will be 2 separate groups of winners. Those on Playstation and then everyone else. So honestly, being on Playstation does give you slightly better odds!
I just completed my first dreamsnap challenge. But I just started playing a little over a week ago, so I'm not expecting much. However, I realize you'll get rewards regardless, so it's better to submit even if it's not spectacular. :)
SO many people thought it was all of it! It tripped a lot of players up because the "test" or "trial" dreamsnap quest from Vanellope had us focus on furniture. Then, we get the first challenge and it's an outfit challenge! LOL It confused everyone! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Dont get hyperfixated" Hey, try tell that to my neurodivergent brain. Lol. No but ill do my best, and learning to take nice photos is fun. Ive wanted that since way before this addition and saving nice stuff is something i love. So photo tips overall is always nice!
I'm neurodivergent myself and have severe ADHD with hyper fixation and hyperfocus being some of my biggest hurdles. I've talked about this openly in several videos. That's exactly why I mentioned it. 😁 It's something I personally struggle with.

Keep watching the patch notes! They state that you cannot vote until the dreamsnaps challenge ends! Voting for the first challenge will begin next wednesday. This is simply because it would be very unfair to vote now considering most players have not yet uploaded their dreamsnaps scene and have until next Tuesday to do so! When the premium shop updates next week you'll have your oppurtunity to vote! 😊
Hello honorary brother!! I have a question... If you submit a dreamsnap photo and, say, get 50 votes on it, do the votes stay if you go in the next day and replace with a new dreamsnap photo? Or do the votes start over if you replace your original photo with a new one? I haven't played in a while so I don't even have the option to do the dreamsnaps yet!! 😅 But, I wanted to get the info on this and you, of course, are my go-to bro for all things DDV! I don't know what I would do without your videos!!
Hey there, honorary, sis! I can definitely answer that for you! So, the voting for a Dreamsnap challenge doesn't actually start until that challenge comes to a close. For example, we have until next Wednesday at 9AM EST to upload (or change) our rainbow dreamsnap submission. Nobody can vote on the rainbow Dreamsnaps submissions until the deadline. In short, if there's still a window to change your submission, it's not yet possible for players to vote for it. Right now, we're all working to submit the rainbow dreamsnap, but if you visit the voting tab, you'll see you're actually voting for the Fire & Water submissions because that event is now closed. Hope that helps! 🥰
Yes. It just means "currently" which insinuates that their dev team is looking into possible filtering methods to ensure a safe environment, OR they could be looking into having an option for players to "opt-in" to the feature. For now, we have to keep in mind that the dreamsnaps feature is in its infancy and will likely see a fair amount of change in the future.
Honestly, if I came across something like this and it made me laugh, I would definitely vote for it! I thought about taking my pants off for my submissions but decided against it. 🤣
I play on PC and I definitely noticed a quality reduction in the upload. Though, to be fair DDLV is saving all of these photos on their server so they probably had to scale them down a bit! If it makes you feel better, I think all photos will likely be scaled down some!

Hey Sophie! The items this is referring to are the "Touch of Magic" items. These are any items that you've custom designed using the "touch of magic tool" This includes outfits and furniture you've customized.
Hey Lexi! 👋 The option doesn't show up while you're trying to take the photo. It shows up *after* you take the photo! So, what you'll want to do is pick your area/scene, get your camera angle all set, and then take your picture. Immidiately after you take you're photo you'll be in the photo review screen with your current photo taking up pretty much the whole screen. This is where you'll be able to save or share your photos! On the left side of your screen, the top option should be Dreamsnaps! If you're doing all of this and for some strange reason it's still not working, you can try restarting your game and checking your online connection. If none of that works, your best bet is to submit a support ticket directly through Dreamlight Valley's official website. I hope that helps! Best of luck! 😁

You'll be able to vote for this first challenge's submissions right when the challenge comes to a close. This timeline actually follows the same timeline as the premium shop. Glad you enjoyed the video! In regards to the increased moonstones, I don't believe I've heard anything about that. I've read all the dev blogs, social posts, and am up to date with all of DLV's Discord announcements. What you may be thinking of are the participation rewards related to Dreamsnaps! Regardless of placement, participants will receive 300 moonstones each week just for participating (uploading) Dreamsnaps. Additionally, you can earn another 50 Moonstones by voting when the challenge comes to a close.

I find this to be a strange take! I talk to hundreds of players, and I haven't heard anyone complaining about this being unfair. 😅 Sure, if you're new you may not have all the items that a veteran player has but that's how ALL games work. People who have played for longer typically have more items and in some cases more skills. This is completely normal in gaming... Are you saying you deserve to be on the same exact footing as a day one player if you started yesterday? 🤔 Also, whether you're a creator or not has ZERO impact on the design challenge. It all comes down to creativity. You can't look up specific players and vote for them. The voting provides you with totally random choices. So, being a content creator has nothing to do with the challenge. Lastly, even if you don't place high, the devs are still going to be handing you double the moonstones you were getting before just for participating! I don't see any reason to get worked up or upset. If you don't like Dreamsnaps, don't participate but you should at least give it a try first! You might surprise yourself! Cheers!
Does anyone else know why they took away the video screenshot feature? Im on Switch and i cannot take video now and I'm bummed because i loved making short video captures
I can answer this for you. We discussed this change in my previous video while covering the dreamsnaps patch notes. The feature was removed to allow for better Switch stability. Whenever the recording feature is enable on any game, the nintendo switch will passively store the video footage so that players can capture recent activity. Unfortunately, this consumes a fair amount of the platforms RAM. By removing this feature they've made the game more stable on the Switch. I'm pretty sure the dev team made this decision because of the tremendous amount of complaints they've received on Switch stability.

Oh also my switch still froze after a puzzle piece reveal immediately after the new update. That hasn't changed. I can't press any buttons after opening the piece and wait until it loads before exiting or it freezes.
@@BeautyKhaleesi Oh, your Switch will most certainly still have crashes and stability issues! The devs stated that this would "improve" stability, not "fix" stability! The unfortunate truth is that out of all modern gaming platforms, the Nintendo Switch has the weakest hardware. Next generation games that are available on multiple platforms are going to struggle on the Switch. It's the sad reality when comparing the Switch to PS, XBOX, and PC. 🙃
