HOW TO USE A CURLING IRON WITH A CLAMP! 

This was super helpful and very clear for people who just don't know how to use a curling iron with a clamp. When you're a hairstylist, it seems so obvious but when you are new to doing your own hair, it can be so confusing!

I work with a young woman with disabilities. Her absolute favorite thing is to gave her hair curled. Im just a regular dude so I didnt even know what a hair curler was or even that such a thing existed. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial, it saved the day.

i had no idea where to section my hair, how much to twist and how to twist without hair falling out or pulled. I didn't even know I could comb my hair like this for a more natural curl because I thought I was ruining it. Thanks for the tutorial. I can finally try it out after 4 years of owning a curling iron

Actually so helpful! Up til now, I've only seen the tutorials that tell you to clamp the bottom of your hair and roll up around the whole thing, which made NO SENSE to me. I knew it would leave a debt and be uneven, which nobody wants. I gave up trying and just suddenly thought like 10 minutes ago that I should actually put some effort into finding curling tutorials, and now IT'S PERFECT!!! Thank you so much!

I’m old, so I only know clamp style curling irons. When I was younger, some irons came with a bit of steam, you would add to the end and mist your curl after rolling. It was great.

You make it look so easy but watching this video did give me the concept of how to use it a little better just difficult with longer hair cause the curls always want to fallout of the barrel😢

Hi Ava just watched your video and I have this exact curling iron. I couldn't get it to curl my right side, but I was doing it all wrong. You showed how to use the clamp underneath instead of over, and it has made such a difference in the hold! I don't believe (or maybe I wasn't paying attention) that I haven't come across any curling wand video that tells you to do it this way. I have tried so many videos and none of them have worked. Thank you so much!! Maybe my other failed tools will work now. You are a genious!

I have so much trouble curling the back of my hair! I use a mirror, but then have enough hands for the curling iron and mirror. So that back ends up a mess!

Didn’t realise I could open the clamp as I’m twisting, so I was pulling my hair and gave up and just went from the bottom 😭

I get the curls, but then by the time I finish one side, the first ones have fell out. I have a problem taking the curling iron out. Am I suppose to bump the clamp AS I take it out? I'm NOT doing something right. I'm use to a wand with no clamp and I just love your curls, but I can't get that look.

I’m sorry this might sound like a really obvious question but do you clamp down as you start the curl? Or multiple times each time you turn it? I’m 13 and just got my first curling iron and I’m going to try and curl it before school 😅

What do you recommend for hair that doesn't hold a curl well?

I was hoping this video would help (after watching a few already) since I can only clamp at the bottom and twist up. Whenever I try to clamp at the top my hair gets stuck as I can only twist/curl so much when starting from the top. 😢

i’ve watched so many videos and have tried to follow along with each video i watch and they never work for me. the bottom of the strands gets curled but always end up dropping. meanwhile the top of the strand never gets curled, am i parting my hair wrong? am i not holding it long enough, what am i doing wrong? i’ve been trying for years to curl my own hair and nothing works for me
