How to use a handheld light meter (Gossen Lunasix and Sixtus)

I hwve the Lunisix 3. I need a good silver oxide substitute battery for it. I'm using a 1977 Profisix w/ Profi system & Luna Flash attachment. I wanna use tbe Luna optic probe for maxro or ground glass reading

Do you use the original 1.35V batteries (cant be bought in europe cause EU restricts mercury batteries) or do you use an adapter with LR/SR44 batteries? Or lastly, are they internally modded to accept a 1.5V current? Just got one of these, really excited about it, just want to get it working properly battery wise
