I don't do marble sculpting, but I think its incredible how those who do can find this big ol rock and turn it into a beatiful sculpture. Its an amazing art form, and seeing some of your videos, you seem to be absolutely great at it!
It’s so helpful to see you work! I just have some scraps of marble I’ve been playing with and getting to see your techniques is getting me so much further, quicker than I would be without ✨
Thank you, I really would one day like to make statues for my family cemetery, to make it look as peaceful as it feels. And when my dog, Rufus and my other beloved animals eventually pass away I would like to make them a statue of where they should still be. As an oil painter this is not my medium and you give out a lot of knowledge one would only learn thru practice I.e: how holding your brush different places, or in different grips causes the paint to lay different . Bless you!
I never had a chance to get any art education or training but thanks to your videos i was able to complete a few sculptures. Currently working on the relief of a gladiator that i saw in a permanent exhibit 'deadth in the afternoon' in Ephesus Museum. Some place that showcased how gladiators trained lived fought and died.
Do you work with limestone from time to time? Can you show a video on the different ways of working with limestone I have nice bolders in my yard that already look like many things and with a few craft changes they will become very obvious. Of course most of these bolders weigh around 5 tons and must be done in place but I have every tool and most of the skills known by mankind. When I've tried practice strikes and it certainly doesn't shear away like the type stone your working with. Should I go to close tolerance grinding or sandblasting with sedimentary rock?
Sorry I bothered you with questions you obviously can't answer. My ability in all human skills is usually achieved in hours, sometimes seconds but never years. I will exit your site with very little disappointment, for you have nothing to offer.
@@davemeeks8109 You make yourself seem ignorant and kinda pompous; which is probably one reason why OP didn’t feel the need to even answer your question. Even masters of any craft will tell you there’s always more to learn and you should never stop challenging yourself. You’re coming off like a bit of an Internet troll, honestly.
I also have big limestone boulders on my land. With the help of some mechanical tools i am planning to turn them into mini- rock pools and maybe a few carvings on the side ie: crocodile, turtle or a snake
