While I learned how to tie down a load without ratchet straps, once I tried the first one, I never looked back. That tip on what to do with the end is a fantastic idea.
You had some very good points while explaining the functions of the ratchet but it would have been nice to see how you originally ran the strap into the ratchet from the very start as that's where my trouble was in trying to figure out how to correctly put the strap in the ratchet. You put it in wrong and it's very hard to get it out once tightened.
Yikes! I'm embarrassed to admit that I've used these things for years, thousands of times, but I'd never thought of the trick to roll up and contain the excess strapping. Thanks!
