Thank you so much for this video. I have had this machine for about a year; j However, I have not used it because I couldn’t get stitches to form consistently. It was very frustrating. When I followed your video, I was successful in getting my machine to make beautiful stitches. I Its an entry level machine but I hoped it would still sew and it does.
Hi.. good and useful demo. I need a clarification. I purchased a Bernette Sew&Go 1. The pressure Foot Lifter is moving freely without any effect on the Pressure Foot, and the Pressure Foot is not straight and is fixed at an angle. 1. Does the Pressure Foot Lifter operate when the power is off? 2. The Pressure Foot is fixed at an angle. Can we correct the straightness?
The presser foot can be lifted and lowered while the machine is turned off. It seems as though something may be malfunctioning. Please take it to your local BERNINA store for service.
very nice and sweet. One clarification. Does sew and go 5 have feature to move needle to right or left. The manual does not show that... but has a width control wheel.. does that help in moving needle to left and right and do a straight stitch. thanks and regards
siti claudia just unscrew the needle screw using the screwdriver in the sew and go kit and then insert the new needle. Make sure that it goes in all of the way.
fantastic video ... (I have a 25 year old Bernina with 'all the bells and whistles' .. and it works great to this very day. I wanted a lighter-weight .. basic (simple stitches) machine too .. soooo .. I just goot the Bernette 1. ... do you have a video on how to do 'free form' sewing with the little piece in the 'kit'? Thanks so much.
This machine is not an overlocker and does not have that feature. It has stitches that can save the edges from unraveling but it is not the same as an overlocker edge.
Everybody has a budget and the sew&go is really for someone who wants to dabble and try a new hobby. The bernette Academy 05 is more robust, comes with an ample selection of feet and stitches. Plus the Academy is a bit easier to thread. The Academy is regularly $469 (on sale for $419). The sew&go is a mere $169.
Hie thank you for the video i have one question .... what types of fabrics we can stitch in this machine ? and can we stitch jeans fabric in this machine ?...
Your video is very helpful.... but i am still facing problem in using needle threader. And pls pls upload more tutorials related to using this machine. I 'll be able to get more guidance.
I purchased Bernette SG 3 Sewing machine online today. Started stitching and immediately stopped. The Machine is creating a loud noise as if grinding the stones. Brand new Machine. What could be the reason.
@@BERNINAofNaperville Thanks. I bought this online from Amazon. The dealer claim that the defect is due to the transportation by Amazon . Just passing on the baby.
