How to Use a Shifter gauge tool on early Harley 4 speed transmission 

It took 11 months for this video to get to me. Tatro Machine has several trans videos useing that tool that I have seen. I was not happy when I took the lid off mine and found that the professional that put new Andrews gears in didn't set the dogs correctly or lock the nuts in place. I also bought a tool and discovered it was more complicated than I had thought. Thanks for the info, when I get my old iron head off the lift I will put the pan on it and pull the trans again, I may need to make some corrections.

right on John excellent presentation. Its nice to see a vid by someone who knows what hes doing. I rebuilt one of them once using a motorcycle magazine article that had pictures and understandable text. keep up the good work I'm looking forward to seeing more Harley stuff

thks for the vid this helps ...i have a Sputh 5 into 4 trans on the floor waiting to go in ...might be this winter..so ill take apart the 4 and replace stuff as needed...thks again..

I tried ordering this transmission tool (JIM96385-78A) from Auto Tool World over 2 months ago. Paid for it but they still haven't shipped it to me yet. Guess this is not who to order tools from.
