I’ve just bought mine. Wasn’t convinced, but a mate talked me into it. Got her home...powered her up...BINGO!!!!!! Absolutely unbelievable! Absolutely ridiculous! Absolutely worth the cash! Absolutely love her! I’ve never been blown away by a pedal.......But this literally left me with my jaw hitting the floor!! 🕶🎶✌🏻
Thank you SO SO MUCH for making and posting this video!!! It has been beyond helpful for me in learning how to use this thing! I'm wondering if you would share with me how to set up a favorite switch with the TimeLine. I see that you have one, but I haven't been able to figure out how to set mine up for it. Again, thanks so much for this!!!
My Timeline must be defective then, because it doesn't work like this one. I have my delay set as BPM too, and when I changed time, as soon as I stop turning the dial it defaults back to 120 bpm. I keep wondering why I can't make any of these tutorial videos work for me, and now I think maybe my Timeline is just defective.
Thanks for the video man! I bought it half a year ago, tried it once and it went back straight to the box....the interface is just beyond my wits😪😅 i am used to 4 knobs only thing
@@LuisNunez777 EHX Canyon is great for a small delay pedal but Timeline is the best. Mine arrived today and just learning how to get going so this tutorial helps! I have send/return sent from amp to left in/left out on the Timeline so no stereo to amp unfortunately that I can figure out. So how do you pick delay model when I choose dial it does not play that model.
What a cool inspiration video! Thanks for that 👍🏻 I started using the Timeline two years ago on an acoustic guitar and it's quite unique for the sound I am among for. Everyone should go buy a Timeline pedal 😁😁😁
Martin Baltser it’s a great pedal ! I still have my timeline , right now I’m using the hx stomp for delays but it doesn’t compare to the timeline , the timeline I have it at home for recording
When i set my tep tempo pedal to my timeline it changed tempo but it also changes the bank and a and b, u know a way to fix it? Is it because i dint use the trs cable?
How many presets come on it? Is there one preset for each type (ei swell). Do the types return to factory settings every time you turn pedal off or unplug? Am I misunderstanding the word preset, if so can you explain as dumbed down as possible? I just want to be able to mess around on the pedal and go back to it and start from scratch each time after messing around with parameters. If I go to start a new bank will everything be from scratch? Thanks in advance
The presets are factory presets/sounds, there are about 198 I believe (2 presets per bank, 99 banks total but you can always limit this ). If you mess with it and turn it off without saving , Nothing happens. If you purposely Save it, after making changes to a single preset, then once you turn off and turn on the device , those changes you made earlier will remain because you saved it earlier. Hope this helps!
Just bought the same combination Big Sky and Timeline today, which midi pedal do you recommend to connect them all? Mostly interested in syncing tap tempo with other pedals to the timeline. Maybe expression too.
Hi Louis. I'm a newbie. With so many settings on the Timeline/Big Sky, how do you get to the ones you want for each song? Do you change the pedal each time to change the preset or is there an easier way of recalling the different presets that you want without using the AB UP DOWN switches each time? I have a Voodoo Lab PX8 PLUS but I'm not sure how to use it.
Hi Steve unfortunately I've never played or owned a Voodoo Lab PX8 so I can't really help you :( . I stick with Disaster area because I know they have a great support team that helps you set up the midi pedal step by step. Have you tried contacting Voodoo Lab?
Hi, I just bought a Timeline and it's beautiful. I'm experiencing a small probable problem. When the pedal is self-oscillating in the dBucket (sometimes even on digital or tape) preset, if you turn the mix knob, it creates a background noise while the turn. I found that activating the spillover instead this problem disappears. I'm feeding the pedal with its original power supply. Is everything ok or is it faulty? Thanks in advance
Hi Pasquale, I would check to see if you have the latest firmware installed, I know Strymon has taken care of some issues with their updates. If you have the latest firmware I would contact Strymon directly so that they can fix it for you. support@strymon.net
Luis Nunez Thank you so much Luis. Unfortunately I've just upgraded to the latest firmware yesterday, but the problem is still here. I've uploaded a video on my channel if you wanna take a look. Maybe it's totally normal even if I don't think so.
@@LuisNunez777 And also in dTape and digital I've discovered. Tried with a bunch of diffirent cables and even directly in the audio interface. I guess I've to send it back :(
Thank you so much for your comment! I'm glad you were able to understand, sometimes I can be really conscious about my videos.. again thank you so much for your comment
Hello sir. How do you use a Voodoo Lab PX8 Plus to change presets on the Timeline/Big Sky pedals using Midi? I'm really lost. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Steve, Sorry that you are having trouble I'm not to familiar with the PX8, I read through some stuff but still need more information on what you are trying to do
I guess I would ask what are you doing for this to be going back to 500ms? Are you switching to another preset, then when you come back it goes to 500ms?
Hey man, thank you for this. I have a question though: there's 99 banks, and you can A/B within each bank? So like... you can make Bank 1 have a Lead and Ambient, Bank 2 Reverse and Tape or whatever? Like you can overwrite whatever you need?
@@LuisNunez777 Okay cool, I'm just trying to understand how i would cycle through them to reach each bank. So it goes like this: Bank 1: A and B Bank 2: A and B Bank 3: A and B how do you get from bank to bank and then toggle through them? I might just have to watch again sorry haha
@@Gumbo72203 no problem you need to press A+B to go up or B + Tap to go down . You can try to limit the amount of banks to get from bank 03 to 00 quicker or vice versa
I’m using a Disaster area DPC-5 midi controller to change presets, tap tempo , bypass and other functions on the midi pedals through midi . Let me know if that makes sense hervin
Bro discúlpame mucho ya tenia los videos grabados y se borraron de mi cámara en accidente. Con la ayuda de Dios este mes lo sacó te mantendré al pendiente
I'm sure there is a lot of good information here, but your quick and erratic hand movements make it hard for me to follow your instruction. You seem to be in a hurry, which also hinders comprehension. Thank-You for trying.
Why not just get Axe Fx 2 I sold all my Boutique Pedals Strymons, Cornish, etc Never looked back, more simple, awesome tone better than strymons. trust me
Sihoon Kim There is More options now as well like the Line6 Helix, Helix LT, etc but some people just prefer having stompboxes. Specially me that I use them as effects to record vocals , acoustic guitar and much more
Sihoon Kim Lol true, I’m actually looking at the heck right now , not to replace my board but something to have to play at gigs, concerts, youth services etc
