Hey Aaron. It's good to see you still watching 🙂 It was a bit of an add-on video for what I should have included in the previous video I posted. Seems like a few people enjoyed watching it 🤔. I have never had this big of an audience for one of my videos. At the moment, I'm busy making ACME nuts on the DN Solutions Lathe. I still remember making these on the Manual Lathe 😴🙄 Then over on the Mill. Thread Milling. Finally, a Good machine for making parts 🙂👌 Hopefully, some more videos are planned when I have time ?? Thanks for watching this video. All the best. Peter 👍

Just brilliant! You made a solid friend out of me. Thanks for this video. I got quite a bit out of what you had to say here. The main thing was seeing your design and implementation of the ER collet water seal. I got it! You've definitely got me sold on the ER holder rather than the 2 bolt. I try to have tooling that serves as many uses as possible which ER delivers on. I think U drills on a manual lathe is brilliant and underutilized. No materials should be off limits if the will to work with them is there. I like to machine a lot of titanium and stainless. So for me, getting an initial through hole in titanium is one of the hardest tasks. Something where this application will really help me out I think. I'm got a PM-1236 lathe. It's set up with water cooling already. You've now got me started with a task list to get ready for adding U drill capabilities. I'm going to set up some magnetic splash guards as you've done as well as make a chuck cover for safety and water control. I'll likely have to switch out pumps at some point but will surely rock what I've got for a while- working within it's limits. That rear plumbing plug is interesting and I'd like to know more. I recently modified some plastic versions of that I bought from a hardware store to use as Purge Plugs for some 3" titanium tube I was welding. Worked wonderful though I did some thermal warping on a couple sides by accident and virtue of plastic vs. metal. Given that I already have a water cooled lathe, from my research so far, it looks like I can get up and running with a setup like this for under $100 into an ER to MT3 holder and a U drill with inserts. Thanks to the magic of modern day Chinese manufacturing and selling practices. This type of interest and purchase is the most fringe of fringe for a normal bloke who likes to be able to make things :-)

Thanks to your original comment. I could make a better video about this topic. After watching the previous video I posted, I realised a lot of information was missing ?? It was good to make another video that will be more helpful to others who might watch. It sounds like you enjoy pushing your limits when working with a metal most people would never bother with. I was previously doing work for a company who specialised in Titanium. Unfortunately I was not able to continue with this type of work in my own shop for other customers. Being that not many people use Titanium. Mostly it was only small components for motorsports. Even then it was rare And some customers could never understand why it cost so much to weld ?? For that reason I decided best to keep quiet when someone mentioned Titanium. Now I keep myself busy making components for other companies. Not as enjoyable as more specialised work. But, It keeps me busy 😊👍

I am much the same. Watching. Not watching 🙄😅 I guess you can only watch something IF it's interesting. When you start seeing too many videos that you don't find interesting anymore. It does get to a point of saying. Mmmmm, I'm not sure I will bother watching anymore ?? You disappear from lack of interest. Then you see a video you like. Back watching the same channel again. 🤣👍 I'm still Subscribed to both of your channels. Not sure for how much longer, though 🤔 This Aaron bloke doesn't seem like he's that interested 🤣 The only downside I'm finding with running these ACME nuts on a Lathe. They seem to be getting down too quickly ??? At least on the Mill, I could load in 6 at a time and do something else. But, Thread Milling is. Sooooo 🐌 😴 💤 Just about to finish for the day. I need to enjoy some of my Saturday night 😁👍
