How to use a weighted vest to replace the gym

In this video I teach you how to use with a weighted vest to replace most of the exercises and machines that you find in a commercial gym.

A weighted vest is a versatile piece of strength training equipment. In this video I use a weighted vest to perform the following:
3:20 how to vary grip on weighted pull-ups to prevent overuse injuries
4:00 push-ups with hands elevated to allow full ROM with a weighted vest
5:20 rows with weighted vest
6:04 hammer curls wit weighted vest
7:00 supinated/ barbell curls with weighted vest
8:08 single arm "dumbell" rows with vest
8:45 anterior/ front delt raise with vest
9:03 lateral/ side delt raise with vest
9:18 tricep extensions with vest
10:06 nordic hamstring curls with vest
11:20 considerations when buying a vest

my 30lbs vest kept me outdoors. nothing is better than working out with the elements and adapting to different temperature.

This was actually a hard Decision to Make (buying a weight vest) because that would mean I am Starting my Own Gym (not Home Gym,Fully Equipped Commercial Heavy Weight Gym ) but ONLY FOR ME ! However That would cost 11 000 € at least but it's Worthed ! Ain't nothing can compare to the Laser Focus you get When there is nobody Around....

I got a vest to do dips, add something extra to that. Also, no squat rack and there's only so much weight I can pick up off the floor and put behind my neck, so I wear the vest to add weight to squats, both barbell and dumbbell. Saves buying a rack and more plates and heavier dumbbells. Same idea for calf raises. I didn't know about those hamstring exercises! Have to try that.

Great video!! Just was wondering, do you know how to adjust the shoulders on this vest? I have the 20 pound one and it’s great, but the should is too long. It has a hook and strap, but unsure how to use it?? Any idea?

I stick to compounds, but it’s fine to add isolation work if you want extra volume for those muscles specifically

You're wearing the cap weight vest, how in the world do you get the metal bricks inside of the pockets? they're way too small

Mine came with sand bags. Easier to slip in. But I got it a few years ago so maybe they moved away from sand

Can you deadlift with a 60 pound weighted vest and broomstick? Or is it too easy exercise?

Is your upper lower split twice a week really enough for a strong body?

Absolutely, 4 sessions a week is plenty. For strength adaptations you don’t need a high volume. If your primary goal is hypertrophy you can certainly try more volume in the form of more sets per exercise takes within close proximity to failure. But 2x a week for upper and lower is still plenty

Is it ok to use it everyday when working out, lifting, hitt workouts etc.. or how many times a week should I use it while lifting weights and also while doing hitt workouts?

I wouldn't suggest HIIT too frequently. What's your training schedule look like?

@@JerryTeixeira hello again. My routine is now differwnt. I started doing jujitsu 3x a week and lifting weigjts 3x a week. I do jujitsu and lift the same days, jujitsu at 6am and lifting at 7pm M,W,F. I wonder if I can do a small hitt workout on off days or maybe low intensity cardio to i.prove endurance for my jujitsu.

If these are too easy do them on the ground (which I cover in the next video in the handstand playlist) Handstand Fundamentals: wrist, hand and forearm strengthening drills to improve handstand balancing

If you have clinically low testosterone a dr will prescribe testosterone replacement therapy. The thing is, most men do not need TRT, low testosterone is generally the result of a crappy western lifestyle. If you exercise, sleep well, manage stress, and dont eat a steep energy/calorie deficit you normally dont need TRT. Very few men have true underlying pathology leading them to have a real need for TRT.

Just use a bookbag with a couple 20lb bags of rice. You can get bookbags at a thrift store, or second hand store. Whatever you call them there
