im pretty tall and have over 200lbs im about 1500cal covering my macros and gained 6 lbs this week meanwhile i go 3 times to the gym and move 5-10k steps a day its ridiculous
I can not thank you enough for this video. I was on a great health journey and lost 24lbs. Then I got pregnant and got too sick so I couldn’t work out anymore. When the baby was born and I got better I really wanted to pick it up again!! I did everything right but ofcourse had sleepless nights as a mom with a newborn. I gained so much weight during that period and didn’t understand why since I did everything the same as I did before I got pregnant, the only difference was my sleepschedule. It all makes sense now. Now that the nights are going better I’m trying to work out again, and now I know to prioritize sleep if I don’t want to sabotage myself. Thank you so much for explaining where the problem comes from and also why.

Thank you! Every time I've tried to lose weight over the years I wind up gaining. I started watching walking and weighted walking videos this spring, and have started tracking off and on working towards Body Slims this fall. Come to find out most days I was only eating 500-800 calories. I just don't get hungry and forget to eat. And don't eat enough even though I feel like I'm full when I eat. I doubled my calories and upped my protein and have dropped almost 8 pounds so far and am sleeping better. It's really discouraging to see all the videos saying it's impossible to gain weight in a calorie deficit. But I've also been super stressed over time. I know it isn't all water weight, but it helps understand what is going on in higher stress weeks when I just feel puffy and inflamed and the scale goes up.
I had to get off of propranolol. It made me gain so much weight. I've always been little. Now that I'm off the pill the weight is coming off. I was literally having to skip eating 3 days out of the week on top of heavy exercise, and i still wasn't seeing much a difference. I wasn't even eating a lot. I had cut out all snacks and just ate meat twice a day. So unsustainable.
I noticed when i lift heavy weights 4-6 days a week and in caloric deficit, i gain weight. But when i lift light and only 3-4 days a week i lose weight and tight up . To me i believe its because the more muscle mass u put on thr more your muscle store water / inflammation
Hii, so im 51..Im a massage therapist, so my work is very physical..All my life i was skinny, 168cm, 50kg max. I couldn't build muscle. Was skinny fat. At 49 with menopause, had lots of inflammation and aches. Started tibolone. Dropped AS medication ( sulfasalazine) started gym. Im now 61kg. Still 24% fat. This week i pushed from my max of 4 hours apointment per day. To 5h for 2 dsts, 6 hours the next. I had no time to eat mure than a protein barre while driving, drinking a redbull. So had good breakfast and heavy diner.. I have put on 2kg!! I though so much burning without enough food will make me lose.. Opposite! I would like to lose a bit of under skin fat. How to do? If i calculate my calories with a app. I can never cover my day. Im always on deficits
Just happened to me last 5 days, i do massages, i have over do. 5 h a day, 2days, then 6hourd, then 4..Had no time to eat much after breakfast , just a diner. And 1 protein barre at lunch. And i lut on 1kg..Why?

No its not. You people that keep saying that either live in a cardboard box or you weight like over 250 or somethin because ive done that on multiple different doors (hundreds of reps) in the past and them doors were nothing special at all.
Thank you so much for raising this issue. I was put on a beta blocker for Afib and gained 12-15 pounds right in the middle. Never had a weight issue before ever. I am 5'3. No place to hide weight on that frame. I am starving (sorry, the new word is fasting) well practically. One meal of a salad and a protein, two light snacks, seeds and nuts, water only and green tea. 10, 000 steps a day. Lost 1 pound after a month. Been dieting very seriously for 3 months. Added Berberine. I also cut the BB dose but my heart rate got higher so I had to go back to original dose. Please, folks don't ever do that. These drugs are also difficult to stop. I understand now why folks resort to GLP agonists peptide injections as it is very discouraging to not get any results and walk around hungry with a headache. I will try your suggestion to learn to fidget as it is a very creative suggestion that I never thought of. I very much appreciate the tip as I am discouraged.
I experience wrist pain on my right hand while doing this. Keeping my hands facing forward but close… feels like one side of the hand is being pushed down while the other is being pushed up. ????????????
